New computer won't recognize Sansa

New computer won't recognize my Sansa. It's weird because I have plugged it into my laptop and one other computer without the installation disc and they both recognized my Sansa just fine. I no longer have the installation CD; [it's been over a year. Is there any way I can reinstall the program or do something that can get my computer to recognize the device?

    It's a Sansa e200.
There isn't an option in the menu to "USB" there's only "Settings" but it's just Music, radio, recording, brightness, volume, automatic off, etc.. Nothing to do with connecting to a computer. Please help..

Disconnect from pc, go into sansa menu to USB then press center. It's probably set to MDM. Scroll to MSC, press button. Reconnect to pc & it'll probably show up

Hope this help you

How do i change the battery

  1. Remove the cap over the USB plug and insert the unit into the USB port of a desktop or laptop computer. The computer will recognize the Sansa Express as a new hard disk drive.

  2. Locate the battery icon on the upper right of the screen. The battery icon will fill in with color as the unit charges. When the icon is filled in, the charge is complete. The unit will fully charge in about 3 hours as long as the desktop computer or laptop is powered on.

  3. Plug the unit into the USB port of a car or AC adapter and then plug the adapter into an AC outlet or an auto cigarette lighter socket, as the case may be. The Sansa Express will charge in about 3 hours.

Sansa Clip MP3

Go into My Computer and see if anything pops up once you plug the Sansa in. If it pops up open it up from there. Sometimes this kick starts an Mp3 to install itself.

My computer and sansa mp3 player

The older C-100 required you to change your settings on your main menu.
Main Menu
Settings
Auto Detect or MSC comes up
If you have Windows Media Player 10, choose auto-detect.
If yo uhave Window Media Player 9 or earlier, choose MSC. Happy listening.
(You probably just forget about that little settings change on your old one).
I'm not sure if the M-200 has the same settings thing, but hopefully it does, cause that's the only solution I have for today!

My sansa e250 mp3 player is unable to connect to computer nor recognized to use .It won`t turn on change the modes

turning on to change modes is your problem. If it's completely dead you may need to replace it or refurbish it. Or if the battery is completely dead plug it in all day until you can get it to turn on. ONCE ON then you can worry about getting it to connect. Try this:
There are two connection settings in USB: MTP and MSC. For some reason MTP is the default, but it doesn't connect properly on all computers. Select MSC and plug the player in again, the computer will recognize sansa e250 but not show the driver just yet. It is installing recognition software (just basic drivers - nothing heavy) and it doesnt tell you what its doing until its complete. WAIT FOR IT. Once it is complete you will see both the sansa e250 and the removable memory slot in your "my computer" now you're good to go.

Help!

We have two laptops and one desktop in my house and two 2GB Sansa c250s. My laptop recognizes my sansa c250 differently than our family's desktop (i.e. on the desktop i can't view certain folders/ music files that i transferred from my laptop to my player). The second laptop doesn't recognize mine at all, but it DOES recognize my sister's sansa c250.
my suggestion? try a different computer! and then KEEP using that computer for adding/ deleting files.
