Replace the Drum Unit, Do you know how to rebuilt this unit, if not you can get an after market product, The Drum unit release is in the Middle of the Copiers you will see a door , open the door, then ONLY , and i do mean ONLY, touch the "Green" release lever for the drum take it out and replace it or rebuilt it f you now how, if this does solve it, which i am certain it will but, if it doesn't something is wrong with the fusing unit and needs to be dismantled, wish i could give you our contact info however, been informed not too so sorry. rules of fixya.com

I had one today with a toner low light with new toner installed. Turns out they broke the green cartridge retainer clip.
The toner sensor pn# 130K45680 btw.
let us know if it was the sensor.

This sounds like the paper path guide that sends the copy by the drum modual and then to the fuser.
If the walls are stained yellow, they the "vains" plastic guides are broken and will cause paper jams. Also after the paper has been fed out of the fuser modual there are other plastic guides that might appear to be yellow in stains. these tips often break and will cause constant jams.
The door guide has to be replaces and the vertical transport may need replacing as well. You would need to get part numbers for this specific model and someone who knows how to dissasemble this machine.
End result, you may need to call Xerox for assistance.

Also I would wait until it stops first, then installed the paper, wait until it feeds through then see if you have the sa problem.

When new toner installs I always recommend to customers to wait for the cycle to complete ,then try it again. See if tht helps

SOURCE: I have a Xerox XD125F Workcentre. The J2 toner

1. turn off XD125f
2. Turn on
3. within 4 seconds press, clear, auto, clear, auto. LED Should go blank,
if not try again
4. use copy quantity keys to enter 24, then push start
5. Again use copy quantity keys to enter 7, then push start
6. turn off
when you restart the cartridge count will be set to zero

I have done this twice and never replaced the drum cartridge.

Call Xerox. The Corporation needs to take responsibility for selling a machine that has toner available. //They should tell you where to get the toner or provide some for you. Start out nice but don't let the push you around; insist if you need to. Xerox can't sell a machine with no toner.

I cannot get the drum cartridge out of the XC356 copier by Xerox. I have lifted the green tab, however it is still locked or hard to come out and I am afraid I will break same. Do I need to do something...

  1. Turn the copier off.
  2. Remove the Toner Cartridge:NOTE: If you are not sure how to remove the Toner Cartridge, refer to Related Links at the bottom of this page.
  3. Remove the Input Tray on the right side of the copier, if applicable.
  4. Slide the Platen to the right by pushing in on the grey square Release Button on the back of the copier, then sliding the Platen.
  5. Fold up the Exit Tray on the left side of the copier, if applicable.
  6. Stand the copier upright on its left side.
  7. Remove the Bottom Access Door (see Related Links).
  8. CAUTION: Be careful not to touch the red surface of the Drum.
  9. Locate the green Drum Cartridge Release Lever at the bottom of the Drum Cartridge.
  10. Lift up on the Drum Cartridge Release Lever.
  11. Pull up on the bottom of the Drum Cartridge. The Drum Cartridge will pivot upwards.
  12. Pull back on the Drum Cartridge to remove it from the copier.

My xc356 copier prints dark lines on the copy, toner has been replaced

If it is just with copies, then you have either dirty optics or dirty glass which you must clean. However, most likely the problem is with the imaging drum. If you are able to remove the drum, I suggest cleaning it with soft cloth or rag, then reinsert and see if the problem persists. If the issue does not go away, then I would suggest having a technician coming out and seeing if you need the drum replaced.

Does my copier have a drum cartridge and toner cartridge or is it all the same

It has separate drum and toner cartridges.Toner cartridge is located at the front (small dor on the right side).Drum cartridge is located at the bottom side of the mashine.

Paper won't go through xerox

Under rubber roller of the presenting the paper is located brake platform. Check as she works. This often can be that paper pulls not exactly. Follows to restore the brake platform. Good luck.

New toner but still have dark streaks

IF YOU ARE ONLY GETTING THE LINES WHEN YOU PUT THE DOCUMENTS INTO THE TOP FEEDER AND NOT FROM PRINTNG TO COPIER OR IF YOU PUT A COPY ON THE GLASS UNDER THE DOC FEEDER AND NO LINES APEAR CHECK THE SMALL GLASS WINDOW UNDER THE DOC FEEDER THERE MAY BE SOME TIPEX OR INK RUBBED OFF AND LEFT ON THE GLASS THERE.. THISD MIGHT BE CAUSING THE STREAKS YOU CAN CHECK THIS BY PUTTING THE PAGE IN THE DOC FEEDER AND DOING A COPY AND THEN PUT IT ON THE GLASS PLATE UNDER THE LID AND DO A COPY OR IF HOOKED UP TO COMPUTER DO A PRINT JOB.. IN NO STEAK APPEARS YOU CAN BE SURE ITS ON THE THIN SCANNER GLASS.. GOOD LUCK ...a

well, when the copier is new, it is best you take it back to the dealer and get other . You should have a warranty on this product.
