Cant get sound to play through speakers? proper way to hook up?

Do you mean HDMI from Monster, if you do ensure that the cable is connected securely to the correct port. HDMI cables rely on both the devices for sending and receiving. Nothing will happen until both devices send the opposite signal. Hope it works for you!

Monster clarity does not work wired

Mine wouldn't either. Now I have paired it with the Bluetooth and it installed something (drivers?), and now it works. So, now how do I know if it is always connecting Bluetooth or wired? I connected the wire and it is still working, so now how do know if I really need the wire or not???

Wireless internet connection issue

Hi,

Try these steps below.

ø Try to use the website IP address in IE.
ø Disable/Configure Norton Personal Firewall from Norton Internet Security.
ø Disable Windows Firewall.
ø Disable/Enable IE proxy settings, if available.
ø Uninstall Norton by downloading & installing the Norton Removal Tool

If you are not able to connect to the internet after performing these steps then it is not any issue with the wireless and then you need to contact your ISP.

Plz try it and get back..

DSW PRO 600 not getting signal from receiver. Why?

You don't name the electronics, which can be the source of the problem. See #3.

1. If you suspect the cable why don't you just swap in another RCA cable? BTW: there's no such thing as a "subwoofer" cable. Monster makes their money on those beliefs. Cables don't wear out but they can go bad if one or more conductors fails. Oxides devolp at either end which can inhibit conductivity. Remove each end and reinsert it with a twisting motion.

2. Maybe. You need to ensure the sub is defined. Run speaker level check. If no sound at the sub, prove the LFE/sub channel has output by running the RCA cable to a recorder or your TV (low volume). If there's no signal, duh, no speaker will work with it.

3. Mmm, not if it's exhibiting the same problem as the old one and the Polk 450. Have you looked at the setting of the Standby/Auto/On Switch? And the Power Mode LED's? Red is bad.

Connected 8ohm speakers with monster wire to banana clips.Turned on unit says check speaker wires I then rechecked and turned it on then no sound but I can faintly hear the speakers -50dbs hat gives?

You didn't mention >>>>> if it worked before you added the Monster cables and banana plugs <<<<<.

Nor did you say what you found when you checked the speaker wires. If you found nothing you still need to investigate further.

When you make a change and things go south you have to start UN-making the change to find out what went wrong.

Faint sound overall usually means a Tape Monitor or Mute function is active.

Monster MPA 5150SS

Might be a failing semiconductor component (usually an old transistor) in the amplifier's front end. This caused by the oxidation through the component legs or pin. I usually touch and move each transistor's body to exaggerate the noise. You can research also what kind of noise is it producing- intermittent, static, etc.
hope this helps..
