The accumulated accounting data in Job Based Accounting reached the specified value.

  • Switch the power off then on 2 minutes after the job is attempted (after an external Accounting Server has read the accounting data).
  • If the problem persists, have the customer perform a manual retrieval of machine data from their Accounting server.
  • If the problem persists, perform Initialize Hard Disk and then have the customer push the User Accounts to the machine from their Accounting server.
  • Ensure that the customer is programming a job within the parameters of the machine utilizing the UI.

SOURCE: workcentre c2424 is showing system error 39,003.40:117010

That is a document feed or scanner fault. Often times it is simply that molex connector working loose. It is the connector mounted vertically next to the main power cord on the right rear side of the machine. That bottom screw can be dificult to tighten. What I would try first is to shut the machine off, unscrew and disconnect that conntecot totally then firmly slide it in and get both the top and bottom screwss tight. Like I said, the bottom thumb screw can be hard to tighten even with a screw driver because it is a pretty soft rubber the tighteners are made out of.
If that doesnt work. go to the back and disconnect the document feed to scanner cables and reconnect. Other than that, you pretty much have to replace the feeder/scaner assembly since very very few parts are spared for that .

SOURCE: scanner locked

There is a lock that has been hit and has the scan lamp locked.
Where to look is on the botom of the scanner. Look in where you remove the copies, on the bottom of the scanner you will see the only green part there, it is about 2 inches long and a half inch wide.
Turn the machine off, reach in and push the latch full IN, toward the back of the machine, then pull it our toward you until it snaps into place fully forward, It may be a little tight with it against the lamp carriage, but once you get it latched forward it will return to normal.
That latch is easy to hit when you are removing your copies from the tray.

SOURCE: Cant locate the printhead on xerox C2424

Remove the covers. But before you go to eh print head itself, there is a print head pivot block that often gets contaminated with ink. The code you are having, is related to the print head not being able to move freely side to side, or tilt properly.
To access that block. You have ot remove the document feeder and scanner. To do that you disconnect the cable, it runs from the back to the scanner to the opening where the power cord plugs in, remove the 2 thumb screws and unplug it. You slide the doc feeder and scanner back, then depress the two tabs and completely remove it.
There is one screw in the back that holds on both the left and right side covers. You have to lift and kind of twist the covers in about the middle of the machine, The front cover will also pop off, it has tabs that holds the front covers together. Then remove them.
Look on the left side of the machine, looking from the front. You will see a stainless steel block, about one inch square, located about 2/3rd of the way back on the lower 1/4th of the frame. It has a spring and a clip over it. Just pull out on the spring bracket and locate it up and to the left, It is meant to be put there for servicing.
Look at the block. it may be filled up with yellow ink. If so , remove it with channel locking pliers. It may be VERY tight, so work it out slowly. Then soak it in hot water, that softens the ink , and clean it and the shaft thouroghly and remove as much excess ink from teh surrounding area as possible. Also, IF that is the problem. Probably a 75 percent chance, then when you return the printer to service. Get a small level, and make sure the printer is level BOTH side to side and front to back. To do that , you place the lecel on the platen glass, sideways then front to back. Often times those printers are not level and that causes the problem. The other things that happens is simple spill over from the ink catch tray, It is imperative you have those printers sitting level.
If thats not the problem. let me know We will go from here.

SOURCE: Xerox 7232 and As400

016-799 is a printer paper conflict error. All you have to do for the AS/400 to print, is to make suree that tray 2 in the printer is set up to do landscape printing. There has to be at least one tray for portrait, and one for landscape in order for the AS/400 to print.

SOURCE: xerox workcenter 7665 communication problem

This was an issue with earlier models and is usually attributed to the "USB" connector on the bottom of the control panel not being attched securely. Note: although the connector is USB, it is NOT hot swappable and will crash the machine if unplugged while the power is on.

Power off the machine. Ensure the cable is securely attached and restart the 7665. Make sure when you turn it off that it is completely off before restarting or you could corrupt the system software.
