Hit windows button with R and type "cmd" in the command prompt use this command "wmic bios get smbiosbiosversion" .
You can also use "msinfi32" in run command box .
Most BIOS versions are shown when you start from a cold boot. It will tell you on the splash screen. You can do a search online to determine how to enter your BIOS as it varies by computer maker. Sometimes you have to hold the "del" key, sometimes "F2" sometimes "esc". Once into your BIOS or Setup, you can see from there the maker and version.
