The fridge works using a thermostat that in theory turns on the cooling when the temperature gets too warm and turns off the cooling once a cool enough temperature has been reached. In theory the dial shouldn't need adjustment. However in practice you may have to turn the temperature down slightly. I would invest in a Fridge temperature gauge which will help with set up.

You just need to keep adjusting until you find what works on the dial for you. The liquids should be cold to the touch, and it should NOT freeze any of the produce or eggs...if it's too cold, turn the refrigeration down, ...if the milk is spoiling too soon and the cheese is going bad, turn it a little colder. It takes a while to learn what works, but once you find out, just leave it alone.

SOURCE: blows cold air

Sounds like you have a problem upon start up of heat. Your safteys maybe shutting you down, and restting voltage to your curcuit board allows you to have another heating cycle. Honestly you may due justice calling a tech.

You could also try defrosting the unit completely.

SOURCE: My Samsung Refrigerator can not keep the set temperature.

Normally your fridge is set +2 degrees C. with a differential of 3 so when it reaches +5 it should switch back on. if this is not doing this then a new thermostat may be in order.

The temperature is going high and is runing all the time

Hi mh_petrovici - When doors are opened too often or too long, warm air enters the refrigerator causing it to run more or when the room or outside temperature is hot, it is normal for the refrigerator to work longer under conditions. Temperature control may be set too cold (normally found in refrigerator section), set control to warmer setting until refrigerator temperature is satisfactory. Allow 24 hours for temperature to stabilize completely. A dirty, cracked, worn or poorly fitted door gasket can allow warm air to enter the unit causing it to have to run longer to remove the warm air. Leaks in the door seal will cause freezer to run longer in order to maintain desired temperature. Cleaned the gasket, if it is too damage then it will need to be replace. You can check and see if the door seal is bad by, placing a dollar between the gasket and cabinet. Check to see if the door is being blocked by anything stopping it from closing properly. If nothing is stopping the door then replace gasket. Check and see if the condenser is dirty. A dirty condenser blocks air that dissipates the heat that the condenser removes from the unit. Clean the condenser every 6 months and more if you have animals in the house.

Wire that connects thermostat to air diffuser assembly severed

Yes, the air diffuser has to open to allow the cold air from the freezer to be blown into the fridge.

Freezer doesn't freeze in winter?

Domestic refrigerators nowadays are designed not to operate at temperatures less than 45 degrees. First, if it's 45 degrees in the house, people probably are not living there. 2nd, 45 degrees keeps food refrigerated. 3, if people are not living in a space, then they don't need to keep frozen food.

This is a result of the changes in refrigerants we've been going through since 1992.
If you want an outdoor freezer, buy one, and make sure it's designed to be used in a non conditioned space.
