SOURCE: my fisher and paykel dryer ( mod# ED56 ) wont start, power is on

I had this same problem with my Dryer. It is making the few quick beeps because it thinks the door is still open. Near the bottom of the opening to the dryer there is a sensor switch that gets pushed in when you shut the door. Try holding the switch in with a knife or something and then start the dryer with the door open to check if that is the problem.
After i did this, i closed the door and my dryer started as normal.

SOURCE: Eurotech dryer. ON light flashes on and off, beeps

The problem is that you stopped a cycle before the program knob reached the "STOP" (12 o'clock on the knob). All you have to do is turn on the machine, turn the knob to STOP, and wait a couple of seconds. You'll hear a tone and the ON/OFF light will stop blinking. Turn the program knob to the cycle you want and- viola! you're good to go!

SOURCE: dryer check filter light keeps blinking and dryer

There is a reminder light to "Check Lint Filter" near the lower right of the cycle knob. It will come on every time the power button is pushed. After cleaning the lint filter, if the "check lint screen" light does not go off, it is likely that the touch pad control will need replacement.

What dose PF mean

I would check the power to make sure of the polarity, two hots and a ground. Once that checks out ok and still has a problem, check the power cord connections in the dryer, that green wire goes to chasis ground or terminal N, G, and the solid color wires to the line 1 and line 2. If it still trips on PF, then a wiring diagram and tracing the power failure is needed, perhaps a control transformer but its too early to say now. Diagnose.

Why does My dryer make a noise when it starts and stops? It also makes some sounds when it is running

how long have you been using the dryer? seems to me you might have issue with the razor or the drive belt. you might want to get a professional to have a look at it.

Having problem with my Electric Maytag. I push the start button and nothing happens.. The model bumber is pyet344ayw..

Have you checked the circuit breaker? I would start there. Dryers run off 220v, and sometimes only one leg of the breaker trips. so you need to flip the breaker all the way off, and then back on. sometimes the breaker feels off when it's not. make sure you completely trip it off then back on. Does the dryer light work? is there any indication that it's getting some power? If the breaker is fine and your still not getting power, then the next step is to make sure you have power coming to the plug behind the dryer. At this point you should only continue if your comfortable working with electricity. Once you move the dryer you can check the outlet with a meter, or other circuit tester. If you got power here, then you'll need to start checking things on the dryer. you can remove the plate where the cord goes into the dryer and look for loose or burnt wiring there. If that looks ok, then you'll need to start taking the dryer apart; front panel, top, back, etc, as needed to access the wiring and controls. From here you can trace the wiring from the supply to the controls and to the motor, etc. look for anything burn, If nothing looks out of place you can start checking temp sensors, or fusable links. If this is above your head, then stop where your not comfortable and have checked by a service tech.

Gas dryer starts out ok. When it needs more temp to keep drying, the glow plug turns on and waits for the lp gas to show up and nothing happens. My quess, 1. solenoid valve malfunctions 2. no flame...

Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

HELP Whirlpool dryer LEQ9508PW1

Hello beeps299,
If your Electric Dryer isn't doing anything at all, I would encourage you to do a few basic checks..
First off, are you sure that the circuit breaker feeding power to the dryer hasn't tripped?
If that's OK and you are sure you have power getting to the dryer then the next thing to check would be the door interlock switch. If that is not working properly when the door shuts, that disables most other functions. The switch could be defective, the wiring that goes to it may have gotten disconnected or damaged so that is where I would start to look first....
Hope that helps.
Other things that may impact the dryer are non-resettable fuses inside but I wouldn't go that route until you've checked the basics.. Let me know what happens after your initial checks are done..

Regards,
Rick
