Is there a way to reset onkyo tx-ds494 receiver

HI Preshay, to reset the tx-ds494 first press and hold Video 1 then also press and hold Speaker A, the display will show Clear then the unit will shutdown. Please note that everything will revert back to factory defaults so it will be like taking the unit out of the box for the first time. If you need further assistance please contact our Product Support Team at 800-229-1687, Thanks, JT

Why does my new Honda CB always show RX receiving transmission no matter where squelch is set?

if this is on a Goldwing, it appears that you have a shorted pin int he connector. Disconnect the radio and make sure all of the pins are straight and connecting properly.

Remote Sensor

make sure your time is set and the atomic clock time is recieved, then leaving the rear cover off of the transmitter, push the "tx" button not the "c/f" that is just for centegrade or ferenhight. you will see the red light on the front of reciever flash in a few seconds. The temp should display on your clock screen. If not, did the red l.e.d. light on transmitter flash. If not, its not sending data to clock. I have to reset and hit transmit every time I replace batteries on transmitter. Had no problems for over 2 years of using outside. If your not getting a reading with transmitter sitting next to clock after hitting "tx" button you may have defective transmitter.

According to the owners manual with the remote control look for speaker setup whin the button is pressed the current speaker setup will be shown in the display. Press the preset/adjustment<> to change the current setting to five speakers. the listening mode will automatically change according to the number of channels you selected. Hope this helps. Radiotech
