I don't have a salad spinner at home. All I do it rinse the lettuce, leave it basically "standing up" inside of a collander and let the water drip off. If I don't have enough time to leave it til it drys on its own, I sometimes shake it out and then wrap in it paper towel for a few minutes.

contact the people who made the frig, sounds like a service call might be needed. you are paying for food that is destroyed, the service guy may save you money in the long run.
check the freezer section if its all frost up at the bottom part. the evaporator is freezing and transfering the coldness at the bottom part that sweats water beneath the salad bins. heater cycle is not working properly...
