Below is a link to the model that you describe. This link shows a parts breakdown and cost feature. From the parts description, I was unable to locate a customer replaceable fuse. I have never heard of a fuse inside of an a/c before but I just wanted to be sure. It appears that this is electronically controlled model, so
make sure you have adequate voltage and grounding to your outlet before you call for service.

This is from Sharp's website...apparently an addendum to the instruction booklet. When you get E1:
Unplug.
Press and keep pressing the On/Off button on the unit.
Plug unit back in.
Wait until unit beeps (about 5 seconds) then release On/Off button.
Unplug unit.
Plug unit back in.
You're good to go.

That means you have a short to ground somewhere in the system. They can be a pain to track down. You must have a volt/ohm meter and check each component and part individually untill you find the short.
There is a small chance that the GFCI is bad itself.(The part thats poping off and has the reset button.)

Does it have a position for fan only? If it does try that and see if the fan will run. If it doesn't something is keeping power from getting to the fan and compressor. Try looking inside for a fuse or possibly a capacitor. There may be a small transformer inside the unit. Check it for 24vac. If the fan runs then the transformer should be ok.

Hi.
Take out the AC power jack and then remove the laptop battery. Plug AC power back in and see if the laptop will turn on. If it turns on let it boot the operating system and then shut down as normal, remove the power cord and reinsert the battery and again see if it will switch on. If it does then there has been a glitch with the battery. If it doesn't then there is a problem with the battery.
If the laptop won't switch on either with or without the battery then there is a possibility that the motherboard has developed a problem.
Good luck.
Thanks for the post, friend!
I understand that the compressor continues to run after your Frigidaire air conditioner has turned off. From that information it sounds like there could be a possible issue within your control panel or relay. I would recommend a reset on the appliance, to perform a reset unplug the power cord you will see a test button, push that button and you will hear a click. You would then press the reset button you will hear a click again signifying that the appliance has been reset. Then plug your air conditioner back in. If you continue to have an issue with your compressor I would seek assistance from a professional. Hope this is helpful. -Matt
