Our Thorn tv keeps switching itself on. Yes, I mean on. It's happened twice now within 30 mins. We are currently trying to record a tv show while getting ready to go to bed. It did also say to stop recording as there was no space, while only 20% had been used. Normally we can record more. We are more concerned about the turning itself on than anything. It's never done that before

SOURCE: my recorder says "full" when i try to record, but i have deleted everything!!??!!

Solution for this problem is to Format the recorder. Step 1 is to turn on unit. Step 2 Press Erase " Delete will flash on the display. Step 3 Press and hold Rec for 3 seconds "Format" will flash on the display. Step 4 Press and hold Erase, the completed percentage will show on the display (formatting is now in progress). Step 5 After formatting is completed the remaining time will show on the display. You should now be able to record. Make sure that you hold the ERASE button in step 4 until Formatting shows 100% complete.

SOURCE: DMR-ES15 Stops after 45 Min.

U88 means the unit has detected an error while recording or playing and has entered its recovery process to restore the unit to normal operation. You could try using a DVD-RAM disk or a different make of DVD-R but, as you say the unit is new, you should probably return it to the retailer for exchamge, repair or refund according to unit age and retailer's return policy.

SOURCE: dvd/vcr recorder stops recording

DVD-RAM itself, and DVD-R formatted in "VR" mode are SUPPOSED to allow for recording "ONE TIME" per DRMA. The broadcasters are probably sending the wrong copy protection signal if the -RAM & -R/VRmode are stopping.
At least, that is my understanding.

SOURCE: Lenovo Y410 gets switch off while usage !!!

Sounds to me that you have an overheating problem. Can you hear the fan come on? Can you feel the hot air being pusheed away from the computer? Have you got it sitting on something soft like a bed or pillow or something which is stopping the intake of fresh air?

SOURCE: My thomson DTI6300 digital TV recorder shows that

If you have no recordings and it's playing up, I'd do a complete reset as follows;

Restore Factory Defaults
This will restore all the factory settings and erase the contents of the box.
Menu>Set-up>Help>Green>Red

Format HDD
This will re-partition and re-format the hard drive.
Menu>Set-up>Help>Green>Blue

This will wipe everything you have recorded. It will also dump your 14 day Electronic Program Guide which will take upto a day to reload. Leave the unit on standby.

You might want to take this opporunity to do a channel scan as well.

What is the code for my Thorn TV The codes supplied in the one for all manual do not match and the manual search does not work

I have had this happen on universal air conditioner remotes as well. Try looking on the website for Thorn remotes and universal remotes that will work on a Thorn. Thorn used to be AWA. You could try that as well.

The red lit clock showing recording standby is activated will not go off. It shows even when recorder is switch off and no recording programmed. What can I do?

without using remote, with tv on, try disconnecting power for 30 mins. without using remote, reconnect power and use tv on buttons, gently hold in to turn on tv. see if that helps.

Tried to do self cleaning on oven, about 10 minutes in got "f2 locked door" and it won't clean. what is that all about?

Error code F2 on clean cycle is indicating that the maximum permissable cleaning temperature has been exceeded. (or it's got too hot!)

However it seems unlikely that that would happen in just 10 mins. more likely it is a problem with the oven temperature sensor which should be checked over as should the lock switches..

My dvr shows a 1hr program fully recorded, and begins playback fine. After almost 10 min playback ends but when paused, continues to show another 50 min available.

Hello! Daniel Busa with Dish Network here. That actually happened to me about a month ago a hard reset resolved it for me. If that doesn't do it try deleting all of the recordings that don't play back correctly, reset it again and keep an eye on things, it may be a bad box.

Yes, it is the projector.
Take the filter out and vaccum it, take the lamp out and use compressed air to clean the dust away.
Be carefull witt the air thoug! keep it a bit away from the projector when u cleand the dust away, to close and you can make big mamages inside it.
And, remeber to keep the filter as cleas as possible, i clean min every 2,5-3 monthes.
