How do I update my Denon avr 1912 - Denon Audio Players & Recorders

hi u have 5 sets of red and white audio sockets and 3 yellow picture sockets .u can use the dvd sockets or aux good luck

Sounds like it might have a blown amp channel. Best to have a pro look at it.

I would double check all the connections to and from the Denon. Cables and poor sockets are the biggest problem with these kind of systems. Double check the settings of the Denon for outputting video signals.

Sounds like a possible amp problem. Probably needs to go in for repairs.

I'm having the same problem, Denon has taken down the firmware upgrade for yours ( and mine) AVR-1912. My receiver is also stuck in the update fail loop. Supposedly they will have it back up, but I don't know the timeframe.

and that should help you out, though I can't say how much. I've gone as far as resetting the microprocessor, but it keeps trying to update, and then fails...

Check the Denon website. There is a notice for Pandora users. Pandora changed something and Denon products are blocked as of 11/30. They state that they are working on a fix and to check back after 12/6 for the update.

It sounds like the sub has an auto power mode, hence why it switches to red (off), so your system will not detect it. If there is any control to switch it on all the time do so and try it again. It must be green all the time during the test.

You might just have a handshaking issue between your PS3 and your receiver. See if there are any firmware upgrades for your PS3, Receiver or both. This usually takes care of the problem. If not - your receiver has a 2 or 3 year MFG Warranty. Have it checked out or exchanged.
