How can I repair this player myself? - Audio Players & Recorders

It is up to you if you wish to submit the player for repair to a service centre. Personally, since Durabrand is a cheap DVD player (retailed new for less than $50), it would be cheaper and easier to simply buy a new player - rather than spend good money on repairs to this one (a product recall was issued on the Durabrand DVD-1002 model a couple of years ago).

In any event, the 'No disc' error refers to the laser which has failed. Not economical to repair as it is a 'budget' model.

Hi...
I'm not sure about this model but most have a "universal switcher" power supply inside that works up to 220 volts.

Also ( with NO power connected ) take the cover off and check for a glass fuse ( 20mm long) . See if that has blown . Radio Shack has plenty of fuses

Sony cdx-gt300 AM radio malfunctioning

If no AM and everything else is ok , the unit needs to come ouit for repair...keep in mind that these are cheaper to replace than repair.

My Power Button is pushed all the way in, can I repair it myself?

Below is an exploded view of Power Switch and board section and I hope will help you to fix power button issue.

.

Power switch board has one screw to open it and you will remount power button and put back in power board in unit.
