Customer Service Cub Cadet

Attached is the blade diagram for correct placement of the deck belt. There is some bleed through from the back page, but you can see the direction of the belt. I have a 1525 mower for the last 11 years, still running and going. Hope this helps!

There should be a diagram on the mower deck. The deck should be on the front hooks and have the rear pins engaged. Follow the diagram to install the belt. It may help to tie it in place with twine as you go. The last pulley to slip the belt over is the one on extreme left. You will need a 3/8" socket driver to slip into the square hole. Pull that back to extend the spring until there is enough slack to slide the belt over the last pulley.
