WiFi on a PC may be deactivated through the Control Panel. Some laptops have a physical switch which can toggle WiFi on or off. Smartphones generally have a software switch in Settings>WiFi. Some routers have a physical switch which can toggle WiFi on or off. Other routers may have software switches which are access through their advanced settings; the path to such switches varies by brand. A user may see something like Wireless Network Mode which needs to be set to OFF. If the computer has a detachable WiFi adapter such as a USB stick for WiFi, removal of it disconnects the WiFi option.

My 10 in. tablet keeps going off wi fi and you can fix it but it still keeps going off.

Marie,

Make sure that you're attempting to connect to the right WiFi hotspot. The tablet may be attempting to connect to a WiFi signal that different from what you expect (a neighbor's, etc.).

Once you're certain that your accessing the intended WiFi signal, attempt your password again. Depending on model tablet, you may be able to keep the password displayed as you type for review before entering to connect. If not, carefully review each character on screen after touching each to see that it is correct (not capitalized, or number or symbol instead). Backspace as needed to make corrections as needed.

After seeing that the WiFi password is being sent properly to the intended WiFi signal, you will connect.

Sel full 1912 error

Hello,

You will get the "Sel Full 1912 error" on your server when the system event log is full and unable to record further events. You must clear the event log before the error will cancel. Boot your system into the BIOS/CMOS, locate the system logs and select clear log, reboot your system. Once the system is back up, I would go into the admin task folder and make sure the logs are clear there as well.

Good Luck.

Can we stop it from changing color

Hello bd1340,

The JVC KD-SC500 ships with the color selection set to "ALL DEMO" which alternates the colors approximately every 6 seconds.

To cancel the "ALL DEMO" and select a single color display, go into PSM mode by pressing and holding the SEL Button until the display changes. Use the left/right rocker until COLOR is displayed. Turn the VOLUME knob to select the color you want: Blue, Ocean, Purple, Pink, Rose, or Red. Press the SEL button again to exit PSM mode.

Hope this helps.

Help setting the time on a JVC KD240 Car Stero

Hello dmay006,

Are you releasing the SEL button after the receiver enters the PSM mode? As soon as the display changes, you should release the SEL button and then use the "up" button to scroll to the "item". Each time you press the "up" button, the display should change. When it reads "CLOCK HOUR", use the volume control to adjust the setting. Press the "up" button once again to advance to "CLOCK MIN" and adjust it with the volume control. Press SEL briefly once again to exit the PSM mode. Once in PSM mode, if no other button has been pressed within about 3-5 seconds, the receiver will automatically cancel the PSM mode.

If you are following this procedure and the receiver will not let you into the PSM mode or let you switch from item to item with the "up" "down" buttons, then it is most likely defective and requires service or replacement.

Hope this helps.
