My power system has flipped breakers the last couple of days. breakers are extremely hot to the touch when this occurs. The green light has been solid upon use and now it flashes. must use reset button to get light solid green again. What do either of these mean and what do I need to do to resolve issues?

SOURCE: How to install a new temp sensor Whirlpool electric water heater

The instructions for installing the sensor will probably included with the new part. Also, when you receive the part and actually see it, you will probably know where it will go. Sometimes, things like this happen even with new units. I have had bad thermocouples on brand new units right from the factory. It happens and unfortunately it happens to us sometimes. Good luck and if you get the part and still have trouble, contact them again. If you would have bought a GE (Rheem) unit, they would have sent a tech out to your house at no cost. I'm not a fan of Whirlpool water heaters.

SOURCE: Rapid flashing green light but no power. I've

1.) Most of these sets have a receiver built into the back(large metal box on left side as you look from the back.)

2.) Two possible reasons for green light constantly blinking(it is the receiver booting up if the set is disconnected from power---light should blink for about 70 seconds and go out).

3.) First reason: The recessed micro switch on the keyboard marked reset may be bad--does not happen a lot but it does happen. Easy way to see if this is the problem is to remove front speaker grill---and inspection plate behind it---from the keyboard you should see one or two groups of wires(they come from the keyboard) follow them to the right and unplug both(they are different and marked with letters). This takes the keyboard out of the circuit---you should still be able to turn the set on with your remote(remote receiver is behind the screen.) IF SET NOW WORKS YOU HAVE TWO CHOICES--USE IT ONLY WITH THE REMOTE OR HAVE SOMEONE REMOVE THE FRONT KEYBOARD AND UNSOLDER THE RESET SWITCH--the switch can be replaced without replacing the keyboard(it is a small circuit board with all the micro switches on it.)

4.) If disconnecting the keyboard does not fix the trouble---you have a problem in the "Receiver"----it happens on these sets and usually is repairable--Mitsubishi no longer sells this part and it was very expensive when they did---if disconnecting the keyboard does not cure the problem---let me know and I can give you options for getting the receiver repaired.

5.) Let me know if you have questions and if you need more advice reply to this post here.

I do this here for free so if this information helps you take a minute to give me a vote here---I am here to help people.

SOURCE: Optoma 719, can't get lamp and fan to turn on.

There is a stuffed 10v 3300uf capacitor on the power board. You need to replace it.
Bellow you can check in the picture where the capacitor is located.
0f5b76c.jpg
Notice that in this picture I have already took the bad capacitor out and replaced with two small cords to reach the bottom and test the new capacitor.
To reach this place is not fast, several layers of plastic and metal must be removed, but is not a hard task to take the capacitor out and replace it for another.
It works just great! Now it is back on track with awesome image.

I have one of these units and it has had its fair share of troubles, but great when it is working. My latest issue is the the flap on the indoor unit doesn't open!

This generally works for me. Pull out the isolator outside on the wall or disconnect at the breaker. Leave for a couple of hours. Reconnect and wait 15 minutes. If you are connecting via the isolator you will hear relays clicking and solenoids rattling as the unit goes through a Self Test procedure, then try normal operation.

Worked beautifully a couple of days ago. Now nothing works...it is dead. I checked the breaker but it did not trip. Flipped the breaker off and then on again. Still totally dead. What to do?

If not even lights are on, I would be checking to be sure there is power to your electrical outlet. Without model of fridge, it's hard to diagnose any further.

Model ASTG 34LFCC Economy flashes constantly green then Operation flashes once followed by Timer light flashing once unit will not start up at all even after resetting RCD

Owner's manual flashing number of times probably is an error code. Owner's manual troubleshooting probably will explain the
error. Are you sure the unit has power? doublecheck your Circuit breaker box. Probably a 220vac breaker. Breakers do wear out.
So you may need electrician or AC Technician.

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire dryer shuts off after a couple of minutes, and all the lights flash. I also see that it works on timer drying, and that you have cleaned the lint out from the entire system. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Return power and try any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your dryer status has changed successfully. If further troubleshooting is needed, I ask that you please leave the model number of your dryer in your comment. Hope this is helpful.

2 green flashes. hot water is blazing hot set at 120 degrees.have the energy smart unit model#ee2h50rd045v . what is wrong?

2 green flashes is 'High Water Temp.'
http://waterheatertimer.org/Whirlpool-Energy-Smart-electric.html

Typical energy smart manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Whirlpool-energy-smart-electric-manual.pdf

3 flashes is Temperature Sensor failure.
4 flashes is Upper element
5 flashes is Lower element

Troubleshoot section says:
1) Make sure access doors and insulation are installed.
2) Check elements for resistance of 5-25 ohms (if element has a short in center of element, it might not trip breaker)
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-test-water-heater-element.html
3) replace element and reset control system.
Buy ordinary 4500 Watt element from hardware store.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-replace-water-heater-element.html

4) I also suspect the self-diagnostic control box.
Manual says: Repair parts may be ordered through your plumber,
local distributor, home improvement center, or by calling
1-877-817-6750.
You need serial number, product number and model number from label on side of tank.

Ehyb4 circuit breakers

First switch off the power at the main breaker or pull the meter from the meter socket. If you flip off the main breaker and it is mounted in the same breaker panel, just be aware that the wires above the breaker are still hot. Connect the white wire to the neutral bar, the green wire to the ground bar, and the black wire to the breaker. Then tilt the breaker to get the front black lug under the bar and push the back of the breaker onto the lug on the bus bar.
