I am assuming the generator worked fine before the oil change. Now that you have done the oil change the genset does not start. These generators have a safety switch, which is basically an oil pressure switch that keeps the engine from running when there is not enough oil in the engine. Make sure that there is enough oil and if there is, look for a wire that runs along side of the engine to a round component. disconnect that wire and try starting. If it does not start then try to ground out the wire to the engine block. If this does not work, then there is other engine problems.

I take it you have RV plugged into generator. Hopefully direct with no extension cords. Are you using a 30 to 15 amp adapter to plug into generator? What is the rating of the breaker on the generator that keeps tripping, suspect it's only 15 amp?
SOURCE: Homelite portable generator, LRIE4400...no out put
If the engine is running but no output from the plugs....the VERY common problem is loss of magnetism in the generator after storage.
With the generator off.........
Look at the side of the generator part.....do you see a small + and - on any terminals?
You may have to take a cover off.
Take a 9 volt battery and momentarily put current from this small battery through these terminals.
Now.....start her up and check for power at the plugs.
This fixes 75% of "no output" after being "stored" generators.

SOURCE: use a 7500 watt transfer switch with a 8000 watt
There is no problem to use it if the load to be transferred is under 7500 W.
Even a load of 8000 W may be handled for a short time, but if the protection of the switch is adjusted at 7500 W (the respective current), it may drop after some time.
