It wont turn on

If the cord and the plug is known good, then perhaps it is the switch. Is it off warranty? If so, then you may try repairs.
If you feel comfortable jumpering the switch, that is one thing to try.

Honeywell tower fan

call the HVAC man. LOL
it's not a cooler or A/C, that the sales hype states !

its JUST A FAN, and fans only circulates air.
or if you are inshorts only, it help with wind chill and sweat evaporation,
I have a huge fan in my garage. just for that, and fume , reduction.

you set 68F and the temp goes UP, ?
but what goes up , do you mean the actually measured temperature? state what told you it went UP?

if yes, (actual temp) sure it can, if there is hotter air , say up high?
then you mixed in hot air with cooler air down low, and guess what
it does get hotter. (physics 101?)
what do you want to go down. ?
the actual air temperature?
or do you think you bought a real air conditioner.
?
to make real tempeture go down
buy a real air-conditioner, not a fan.

I just bought the Honeywell Quietset 8-Speed tower fan (black and silver on top). I installed it correctly but the fan is extremely loud and squeaky and can hear the inside pole that rotates the fan, even...

STOP! Before you take anything apart, turn fan upside down and find the large plastic "screw"(cord passes through it)that secures the fan to the pedestal. Is same color as unit. Loosen it and see if squeaking stops. Worked for me!

Mine was driving me nuts and I was prepared to return it to store.

Hello i have the Honeywell Quietset 8 Speed Tower Fan. We purchased it from target last summer. It was a great working fan, loved how lightweight it was and it was extremely quiet. Not too long ago it...

The cord has a fuse at the plug. Check the fuse it could be blown. To access the fuse there is a slide open door that is about 1" x 1/4" on either top or bottom of the actual plug.

Cleaning a 14F0 Honeywell Fan

thank you for using fixya. The blade cage has locks and screws that you can remove from the back. once the cage has been removed, you can remove the blade attached to the motor using a vacuum cleaner or you can remove the blades by undoing the screw on the center detaching it from the motor.
