I have an aftermarket Clarion NX501 in my 2010 Camaro. If I want to add Sirius XM programming, do I use the original radio number on the VIN or is there a NEW radio number that Links to the NX501?

Not advised. They have different resistance and are set up for different Sat signals. Chances are you will decrease the life of your radio if you get a signal at all.

You can get a Windshield Mounting kit and Sirius Unit and use the FM Frequency Modualator that is Built in and just not use the XM.

yes you can hook up xm to it, but you have to have the xm reciever and interface to hook up to it

U can't change the provider, the radio's are built to recieve sirius or xm, u can't have both on the same radio.

Typical, they wont recognize sirius and xm on the same account. tyou need to close the old account and open a new account on the new brand head and start from square one. Also - they wont give multi head discounts if you have a mix of siruis branded heads and xm branded heads - each brand needs its own account and own e-mail address. They **** in this regard. Good luck, ive decided between this backwards book keeping and aneed to keep resetting my Sirius head periodicaly that neither is worth the aggrivation so I cancelled all of them.
