How do you adjust the drive belt on a Troy-bilt 12AV565Q711 self propelled lawn mower?

1. Disconnect the spark plug wire at the front of the mower, siphon any excess fuel from the gas tank and verify that the oil dipstick is securely fastened to avoid oil leakage.

2. Remove the screw located on the side of the mower deck, next to the right rear tire, then tilt the mower onto its side so the air filter is facing up.

3. Unfasten the blade retention bolt. The blade retention bolt is located in the center of the blade. Slide the blade off the mower.

4 Unfasten and remove the screws holding the engine baffle to the mower deck, then remove the baffle. The baffle is the circular piece located beneath the blade.

5. Remove the screw fastening the belt cover to the mower deck. Remove the spring between the belt cover and transmission pulley, then remove the belt cover to expose the belt.

6. Adjust the belt to the desired tension by manipulating the engine and transmission pulleys. If the belt has become slack due to age, you need to replace it. To remove it, slide it off the engine pulley first, then slide it off the transmission pulley.

7. Replace the removed items in reverse order.

The blade on my meat slicer is making a horrible noise and the blade stops when I try to slice any meat

Sounds like the shaft bearing has gone bad. If you can access or dismantle the blade shaft from the motor housing, (NOTE: unit must be unplugged first, ie NOT connected to any power supply) you can try to lubricate the shaft/bearing with a silicone grease. Odds are this will not solve your problem for long.
If it is an expensive unit, and you do not want to discard your investment, try finding a kitchen appliance repair centre for a more permanent solution.

What is the correct way to Install New Blades on John Deere G100 with 54"cutting deck

Do Ray:

I pull my machine up so the front tires are on a ramp. make sure the key is out of the ignition. Raise the deck to its top position (every little bit of room to work helps!) I think that the spindle nuts are 1 inch. lodge a two-by-four piece of wood between the tip of the blade that you are removing and the blade deck and remove the nut at the bottom of the blade (make sure you are turning your wrench in the correct direction!) It will take a two-grunt pull to loosen the nut. The blade should fall off when the nut is loosened. Make sure to not put the new blade on upside down! (Use the other two blades for reference). Repeat for the other two blades. Make sure that the blade retention nuts are Very Tight.
