SOURCE: does this blower use 2 cycle mix

Yes it will use a fuel mixture of 40:1(3.2 oz of two cycle oil to 1 gallon of gas). Any fuel sitting over 30 days now is considered bad fuel. All the manufacturers schools this year and told us this. We are finding it to be true.
Good day.

SOURCE: I own a Homelite Vac Attack II Model UT08546. The

OK! You know if you put fuel in it runs. You have replaced the fuel lines and filter which is great too. What is left? Two things....

1) fuel inlet screen inside the carb.

2) diapragm lever arm clearance.

Both of these are under the little covers on the carb. The one with four screws is the diapragm. The other will have one or two screws which is the inlet screen side.

Remove the gas from the vac and proceed to take the fuel inlet cover off.
The cover is under the air filter body so you have to pull the two star head screws out to get to it. With the fuel inlet cover removed you can pick out the screen inside the round hole and check it for debris/gelled fuel. These things plug at the drop of a hat! You can either try to clean the screen or go to a parts store and pickup a fresh one. I would go with a new one since the screens are so delicate cleaning is almost impossible. If you hold the screen up and look through it you will understand what I mean. You can also look on Ebay and order one and get it by mail. Which might be easier and still cost effective.

Once you replace the screen *(you put in the new by setting it in the hole and gently pressing it in with something blunt and about the size of the hole. It wont take much effort so be gentle. Once the screen is in put it back together, add a little fuel, and check the primer for rebound.
That is to say that the primer , once pushed in, should come back out quickly and fill with fuel. If it drags or stays in you still have a block somewhere in the system. This might mean removing the carb and stripping it completely and cleaning all the passages.

Do the screen thing first and we can discuss the diapragm work after that. Here is a link to homelite too:

I have a handheld blower/vac: The primer bulb is new and will not pump fuel, not even fill the bulb. I checked the fuel lines to make sure they were correct.(homelite)

I was working on a neighbor's homelite chainsaw and I replaced the primer bulb, it was not intuitive, and I hooked up the lines backwards. Also if you are replacing the primer bulb, maybe you have old fuel lines that are deteriorating and need replaced. Did you check the in tank fuel filter? If it looks dark, it may be time to change it.

I hope this helps get you going again.

How do I change the primer bulb in my homelite vac attack 2

Most primer bulbs have small metal ring holding them in place. If you are careful you can usually pry this ring out in one piece but when you purchase a new primer bulb they usually come with new ring and you don't have to be so careful getting it off. Good Luck...

My Homelite Mighty Lite 26b Leaf blower has a punctured primer bulb. Homelite doesn't list the part number. Model number UT08520A Can you help? Thanks, Ed Mckinney,Tx

Homelite wants to sell you a new carburetor assembly. Your blower came equipped with a RuiXing brand carb. RuiXing does not offer any repair parts for their carbs, only replacement units.
Now for the good news....a Zama brand primer bulb fits perfectly on the RuiXing carbs. Check with your local small engine repair shop for a Zama primer bulb. The blower requires removal af the carb to get at both of the screws that hold on the bulb. It is not difficult, just one nut holds on the outer airbox cover...don't lose the little washers. Then one long stud and one short screw will take the carb off. Replace the primer bulb and reinstall everything the same way it came off.
Good luck!

My Homelite Vac Attack II is 4 years old and I

fit new pump ad float diaphragms in the carby
the fuel mix has become irrelevant as Stihl have an oil that is a 50:1 oil and covers all ratios and mixtures
do not use any e-mix fuels as that destroys carby components

Blower will not prime and start

Primer bulb has hole in it or fuel line cracked.First use needle nose pliers to crimp fuel line just before primer ,dont use to much pressure and see if bulb will hold vacuum when you press it.If it wont hold vac either buld has hole or valve in primer is defective. If it does then you need to crimp off fuel line feeding carb and see if primer holds vac.If it does not then you need to replace powervalve inside carb.
