I have checked the seat, blade engagement switches. Cleaned air cleaner fuel lines seem to be clear. solenoid seems to be working
Likely a fuel flow issue but could be carburetor. First replace fuel filter and retest. If still problem, raise the fuel level above the carburetor (fill the tank). If the problem goes away, then almost for certain it's a fuel pump related issue. Check for cracks in fuel line from tank to pump and cracks in the impulse air line.

One of those safety switches is faulty. They allow the ignition voltage through only when in the proper position, or they send it to ground when in the wrong position. Most have both on one switch. Check continuity on each switch. If there two leads, it will either open or close when switched. If there is 4 leads, one side will open while the other closes. One of these is not opening\closing. Good Luck! Papa

Push the clutch all the way down and try to start, does it crank over?
Let me know.

SOURCE: Tractor Will Not Move And Dies When Brake Is Released
I would check the wires and clean the connectors and make sure seat switch is working. If that is not working, it's like getting off the seat without holding the brake/clutch pedal down or getting off seat with blades engaged. Both will cause engine to die.

I have the same tractor. If you have the transmission in <reverse> this will happen every time. It's a safety feature. Be sure the tractor is in <neutral> or one of the 6 forward gears.

It sounds like you are putting it into choke mode. The choke is usually all the way up on tractors. And it will make it backfire and flood out. Just rev it high enough to work and don't go into the choke mode. hope this helps.
