SOURCE: Philips TV HDMI CEC EasyLink tries to control Cable set top box

I finally found a fix to this! YAY. I thought I might have to return the TV. I have the Phillips 42PFL5603D, but should work for other models.

On the TV press menu picture settings---picture---dynamic contrast (turn off) AND active control, turn off
If you have Comcast Moto box: on the Cable box go menu--->setup--->cablebox set up---RF BYbass set to ON
If you have a non-Comcast Moto Box, I'm sure there is an RF bypass setting in the menu. You'll just have to look for it. Another fix was close saying to only turn of the active control, but it took all 3 of these for it to work consistently. The latter let it work for all of 30 seconds.

Rca wont turn on what do i do I tried every thing but it won't turn on

If your RCA TV won't turn on, there are a few things you can try:
  1. Check the power source: Make sure that the TV is properly plugged in and the outlet is functioning properly. You can also try plugging in a different device to the same outlet to see if it works.
  2. Check the power cord: Check the power cord for any damage or fraying. If you see any damage, try replacing the power cord.
  3. Try a different remote: If you are using a remote to turn on the TV, try using a different remote or try turning it on manually using the power button on the TV.
  4. Check for any error messages: If the TV is showing an error message or blinking lights, refer to the user manual or contact the manufacturer for troubleshooting steps.
  5. Reset the TV: Unplug the TV from the power source for at least 30 seconds, then plug it back in and try turning it on again.
If none of these steps work, it may be a more serious issue that requires professional repair.

My remote has a "cc" button but nothing happens when I press it

Please add a comment with the source of the video content that you are watching. Also are you using the TV's original remote or a universal remote? The CC button usually will only work for OTA content and some cable channels (no set-top box). If your source comes through a set-top box, you'll need to access the captions from that source. (On some, you may need to access the Settings menu. On my IPTV box, it's in the Audio settings.)

If you are getting OTA content and are using a universal remote, the code that works for most functions may not give the correct signal when you press the CC button. In that case, you can try another code. For universal remotes with a learning function, if the original remote is available, try teaching the universal remote the CC function.

I hope this helps.

I keep getting "no input signal". I have a small 32" Visio as a spare and it works fine using same cables, box, etc

try selecting the input source on your TV to the one you are using, sometimes auto-detect doesn't seem to work properly. This can be done by the remote control, or the buttons on top of your set.
You might also try changing the physical input socket, eg to the RF in, SCART, HDMI etc (you will probably need different cables for this), but if your set is selecting another source you will still get this message.
Also you might try using a different input device to check your TV, although this is unlikely to have any effect because the input devive plays on your second set.

No Signal on the tv

Before fixing this issue turn off the machine completely and make sure from the plug. Ok now take batteries out of milk. You have hit a combination of buttons and your remote this is called a jamremo set and your TV manual probably won't cover it. Although it is a simple fix. Just go out to an electronics store and buy a universal remote and you can simply turn the TV back on with this new remote and click Menu and it works fine.

I have a Digistar HD LCD TV model LC-4010D. I have no remote for the TV. When I turn it on, the blue light turns on to show that it has power. But no picture or sound appears. It is currently plugged into...

I'm not familiar with the tv set, however here are some things to try.

It's possible that the tv powers up in stand-by mode, so you'll need to find a way to turn it on completely. See if there are channel +/- buttons on the tv and try them.

If the remote might be necessary, try to see if you have friends/family with a universal remote control, such as a Logitech Harmony, to lend to you for testing. This way you can avoid spending money for nothing on a remote.

Googling on this brand and model gives a lot of negativity though: a lot of problems posting, but no support or even an online manual. Personally I've never heard of Digistar. It might've been a bad investment.

TV won't turn on power light flashes 10 times

Switch off the TV from remote, then switch off the on/off button on the TV, remove the plug pin from the power outlet. Cool off for 48 hours and then retry. If nothing works, better refer it to a qualified service technician.

I need the maual for this rca tv L37wd22yx6 tv just keeps saying unusable signal and i need the maual

What is the signal source for the TV? Make sure that you are on the correct input. Use the Input button on the remote. If you do not have the original remote, you need one that matches that function. (Often a Source or Input button is not available on the low end remotes.) Check that you have the signal set to Antenna or Cable if you are using the coaxial connection and the source is TV. (Menu > Setup > Channel Setup > Signal Type)

If your source is a computer, use the VGA port not the HDMI port. Computers send a different type of video signal than video set top boxes. The L37WD22 can't interpret the PC signal on the HDMI input.

For a set top box on the HDMI port, the unusable signal message indicates a communication issue. Try pressing the Info button on the remote. If you see an additional message of Acquiring Channel, then the set top box isn't responding to the remote. Check that the device is on and set up correctly to communicate with the TV. (For example, if your set top box offers progressive scan, try turning of that feature with the control for the box.)

The L37WD22 was built by TTE for the RCA label. The manual is available on the TTE support page.

The direct link to the User's Manual in English is http://support.ttetech.com/RCATV/Assets/pdfs/L37WD22_16788070_IB_e-07.pdf .

I hope this helps.
