Had a very quick on and off power outage. My Sharp AQUOS (LC-52D64U) won’t turn back on with the manual button. I’ve tried unplugging it and plugging it back it and nothing. I have no lights on the TV lighting up.

Hello Dylan, for what you are saying, your TV has suffered a shock of tension, it is probable that the current input fuse has been burned or in the worst case the power supply has been damaged.
If you are going to see if the fuse is burned, just replace it with one of EQUAL VALUE, neither bigger nor smaller
If you replace it and it burns, I suggest you look for a specialized technical service
I hope you can solve the problem
Greetings Franco Dosil

Saludos Franco Dosil

SOURCE: I have a sharp Aquos

Do you get any sound at all?
Solution

I had a similar problem. I had a 52" RCArear projection tv. It would do this when I initially turned on the television, but then after a few "on/off, on/off, on/off" cycles it would stay on. Eventually it started doing it more; until finally there was a spark and that was it. The tv was dead. The bloggers called it "the blinking green light of death" (because of green light on the panel). The power board is going out.ALSO holding down the Input and Menu buttons afterward will give you some diagnostic information via 2 sets of blinking indicator lights.

You may very well have issues with capacitors on this set being that it is or very similar to the V26 chassis. Since I have spare test lamps laying around, I would normally try that first. If the lamp still would not stay lit, I would then suspect the electrical chassis (capacitors). When I suspect the chassis, I can usually verify it by pulling it out and partially disassemble it and find blown capacitors

We had a really bad storm yesterday with a lot of lightning. our power flickerd on and off a couple times but all of our electronics are plugged into surge protectors. everything in our house is working...

Few mins will not resetting tv and recovering power supply board from it protection modes that quick.Tries tv unplug, replug it back like about an hour later for tv resetting it back to the factory setting. The tv should get out it protections modes and might work again. If tv still have the same problems, than enough high currents got in the tv and kill ur tv power supply board. That the board where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole new refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Sharp Aquos LC-52D64U Won't Turn On

I have fixed many sharp lcd tv's with a reset. If one appears to have no defects like bad capacitors, fried inverters, broken panel, ect. and the power light is flashing steady or not on at all a reset may help. There is a lot of bad information regarding the procedure though. The correct procedure is to unplug the tv, hold volume down and channel up at the same time and plug it in. Release those buttons then push the power button. Did it start? Great! I have no idea why so many seem to need this. If there truly is a problem this will only work temporarily or even momentarily but many will be fixed for good.
