ive had this in the work shop befor the cogs can come lose inside the machine if your handy with a screw driver unplug from the mains and take the top of the machine and see if anything has come lose, 50% of the time you can fix this yourself if not you would have to contact panasonic and get them to send a engineer out to you.

I have a panasonic DMR E-60 and had the same problem. What I did was remove 2 side screws and 3 rear screws and lifted top cover off. Then if you are facing the front of the unit to the right of cd unit there is a little nipple that locks the mechanism. Push that in, which would be to the left if your facing the front of the unit. Then press the eject button. Mind you it must be plugged in to power. Be careful not to touch any of the green boards or metal. Hope I was clear. I sent it to panasonic but they wanted 40. just to look at it and up to 140.00 to fix it.

Either the drive belt for the drawer transport is worn out or the drive pulley has a crack in it and cant drive the belt. Sounds like a trip to the service shop is in order unless you are into taking it apart and investigating yourself. Belt will cost about $3.00.The drive pulley can usually be carfully glued.Making sure not to get any glue into the motor.Hope this helps.
