SOURCE: N81 won't charge!

Hi gingermark,

I had exactly the same problem with you. What I did to my phone was, I took the battery off the phone for a minute. Then put your battery back and quickly plug your charger jack into your N81. if your phone start to charge then that's mean it starts to feeding the battery up.

But, after that my phone always find itself under charging condition even with the charger jack unplugged. What a frustrating thing, I am trying to flash it to newer version firmware. Will see what is gonna happen. Will get back to you when I get the answer.

I personally think if the charging component inside the fone has got dirt on it. "maybe" it made short-circuit or some sort of thing.

Will try to open up the fone and do some cleaning if upgrading firmware doesnt give any clues.

Cheers mate :)

SOURCE: Generator hard to start. Kick back

This sounds like the timing is off. Remove the spark plug and pull the cord to see if there is less tension. If there is less tension then you know that the pull cord is fine. Do a compression check on the cylinder, it should be around 100psi. Remove the valve cover and check to see if valves are moving when your pulling the cord. The valves could have came off the rockers.

SOURCE: Need more amperage from generator.

No! The two receptacles are already connected together where they take power from the generator. Two are provided so that you can plug in two items, but the total power must not exceed the rating of the generator.

SOURCE: My honda eu3000 electric start quit working. I

Hi, You need to check the ignition plug behind to ensure it is still working fine. You will need a spanner for this and unscrew it anticlockwise.

My Honda EU3000 inverter has spark, turns over but wont run. I have taken the plug out, added fuel to the cylinder, it runs for a second then stalls. Looks like its not getting fuel.Something plugged?

if it has a metal tap under the tank, they have a habit of corroding internally and blocking the fuel flow
test by removing the hose to the tap and turning it on
if it is a slow trickle or drips ( anything but a full flow ) consider s new tap
check for corrosion at the needle and seat area of the float control

I have a eu3000 is honda generator i have replaceil and controdule and i still have no fire why

Check the ground wire that goes from the negative side of the battery to the engine block. I have seen them break at the connection on the block. You can test to see if it is broken by connecting a wire from the ground lug on the side of the generator and holding it to a bolt on the side of the engine and see if it will start. Also the low oil sensor will prevent the spark if you are low on oil.

The EU3000 is a 120v generator so you cannot get 240v from it.

I NEED A PARTS LIST AND DIAGRAM SO ICAN IDENTIFY PARTS NEEDED

Look on Boats.net. They have the exploded view of most Honda generators with the parts identified. They also sell the parts. They are a great resource and have been good to buy from. (I have no affiliation to them other than I sometimes buy parts from them)

Honda eu3000is generator surges

Inverter Generator Benefits
  • The EU3000 series generators are inverter generators. The generator features an alternator, which produced high-voltage, multi-phase AC power. This power is converted to DC power and then converted back to AC. This process is controlled by a microprocessor and is necessary to provide stable, consistent power capable of running equipment sensitive to power surges. This type of generator provides higher fuel efficiency and lower operational noise ratings in a lighter model than home and work generators produced by Honda.

EU3000i Handi Specifications
  • The Honda EU3000i Handi is a 3,000-watt inverter generator that features wheels, folding handle and a recessed convenience light. The engine is a Honda GX160, which features a 163-cc displacement. The AC output is 120 volts, with an average rating of 2,600 watts and a maximum production of 3,000 watts. There are three receptacles to include a 20A, 125-volt duplex and a 30A, 125-volt locking plug. The DC output is 12 volts and 100 watts. The EU3000i can hold 1.56 gallons of unleaded fuel, which will provide consumers with 3.6 hours of run time at 25 percent load for 7.7 hours.

yes, the problem is that electronic/electrical components age with use. especially voltage regulators and switching transistors. as they age they can no longer sustain the current you are demandiing from the unit. the units are designed to run in the middle zone, not at full maximum load all the time, if you do that you will weat it out quicker. Always buy a power supply that is double your intended wattage and it will last many years. Hope this answers your question

My generator eu3000 will see its third winter in Western Washington and it does not start with the key. My wife needs the generator to run an oxygen machine, so the key start is critical. When I try the...

The EU3000 is a gel-pack (spill-proof) battery. Using a 10mm wrench or socket, remove the four (4) screws that hold the end cover on the machine.
Use a voltage meter and test the battery at rest (no load, not running). You should see 12 or higher volts DC. Record the voltage and then start the unit manually. Turn the ECO throttle "OFF" so the unit revs up to full RPM. You should see 14 or higher volts DC to verify that the charging system is OK.
The conclusion:
If the 12V test shows less than 10VDC, replace battery.
If the 14V test shows less than 12VDC, have a HONDA AUTHORIZED shop diagnose it for you.

Hope this helps.
