Looking through the viewfinder is blurry, but the digital screen is clear. Photos come out fine, it's just the viewfinder image.

Which camera is this? Check the eye piece is clean, silly I know but I've done it. Most cameras have a focus adjuster fitted to the eye piece. Usually a small roller on or near the actual eye piece. Comment below with the make and model of camera and I'll try and help you get a more accurate answer.

There's a little scrolling wheel to the left of the viewfinder; move it up or down until the image is clearest.

There is a little knob to the left of the viewfinder called the diopter adjustment. Turn that.

View is blurry through eye finder

While looking through the viewfinder, turn the little knob at the upper-right corner of the viewfinder to adjust it.
Refer to the "Adjusting Viewfinder Clarity" subsection of the "Basic Operation" chapter of the manual (page 36 in my copy) for full details.

The four main causes of blurry photos are:
  1. Out Of Focus
  2. The subject moves while the shutter is open
  3. The camera moves while the shutter is open
  4. Depth Of Field is too shallow
About the battery catch, visit some technicia shop to solve it.

Hi Steve, I inform you that the problem only is moisture. Please follow this.
1. Put the camera in sunlight for few hours. After that use it & if you face same problem then
2. You need to visit camera repair shop and they open the camera completely and clean all the inside part of the camera. because you need to clean the moisture inside of lens, viewfinder & sensor too.
So only hope in sunlight. If its solve then fine.

Canon rebel xt 1. image looks blury in eye

1. The viewfinder's diopter is probably out of focus (doesn't affect Auto Focus of photos). There's a dial and a +/- symbol next to the viewfinder. Turn the dial till you can see clearly through it. Alternative reason: The glass in the viewfinder is dirty/foggy. Use camera cleaning solution (a drop) on a cotton bud to clean it.

2. Malfunction needs Canon Service Centre to take a look at.

Looking for viewfinder is blurry (Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ28)

There's a small dial on the left side of the viewfinder (next to the flash button) that allows you to focus the viewfinder. I only found it because I had the same problem - must have knocked it out of focus by accident!
