SOURCE: I have a hunter remote

There is no way. Only the manufacturer can reconfigure thw remote. That is part of the defect of this product.

If it works fine, leave it and just continue to use it.

Cheers.

Sometimes we see an intermittent electrical connection due to oxidation of the contacts on the keypad membrane tail. This can be easily cleaned so you can check this before investing in a new keypad. I posted some pictures and the procedure on our website. Here's the link:

SOURCE: ac/heater fan switch problem on a 2006 jeep commander

next to the fan motor there should be a connector that has three or four wires that attached to the blower resistor. it should have two screws holding it to heater case, just pull it out and replace.

Testimonial: "This info was very helpful but need a little more info of where the fan motor is located. I will post another question to find that info."

SOURCE: We have a Hunter ceiling fan with a remote

Hi.

Usually there are jumpers inside remote circuit and on IR sensor, by changing them you will exclude the possibility of IR interference.

IR is a light signal, therefore it is highly unlikely that the problem is coming from your neioghbors, the problem looks more like a defective IR sensor on the fan, that is not a too unusual fault.

I suggest calling Hunter Ceiling at the number listed on the owners manual to see what they think about the problem.

Regards.

SOURCE: POSSESSED MICROWAVE!

A microwave oven that is not grounded will sometimes behave this way. Make sure it is plugged into a grounded outlet, and that the outlet is actually grounded.

Fan unit not responding to the remote to change speeds

The red light on the remote is the battery indicator light. You probably need a new capacitor. Take off switchcup & check black box to see if it is going bad.

My Bionaire Tower fan is Switching the sitting by itself from 1 speed to 2 speed. is it a defect?

I don't think it is a defect, but you may want ot check with the store.

I have a similar one that starts at a higher speed and switches down to low after a few seconds.
After that I can select the running speed.

I have had my ceiling fan on for about 5 years. Hardly ever turn it off. I keep it on low but recently it's been turning itself onto medium or high. With the remote I can set it back to low but...

Some one got a Hampton bay fan or something that is interfering with your remote settings. In the fan and in the remote there are codes that you can change. Try that,I thought I had a ghost but it was a neighbor with the same brand of fan

Back lighting for my viper 479v remote

you have to go in to the proramming mode of the remote to change this feature. you can access this by holding all 4 buttons on the remote at the same time. (or if you have the P button on the back you can hold it down by itself) you will hear 2 long beeps confirming the programming mode. at this time, you can change the settings by pressing 1 of the 4 buttons., each button will change a different function.

in no order------
1. Beep/vibrate or both
2. page or not to page
3.back light
4. hood, truck, or both

the remote will give 2 long beeps when it exits the programming
