Vizio, no channels in master list - Televison & Video

You may have to do a 'search' for local channels in either cable or on-air mode. It is in the set up screen.

mine doesn't either, I use my satellite remote and use the program guide to select the channel I want to watch

Sounds like the main system control memory IC is faulty.

Try doing a soft reset. Unplug and hold the power button in for 30 seconds. Then plug it in and give it a try!

Hello, with the set on, press the menu button, move the cursor down till the "Tuner" section is hi-lighted, click on it. Then the first selection is "Tuner Mode" click on it, the choose "Antenna" click on it. Then move to the "Auto Channel Scan" and click on it, and let it set all your channels. when done, just exit menu and change channels as desired. you can go to page 39 in your manual for these instructions: Tuner Mode

Do resetting and go for auto scan. If the channels are not stored, there is something wrong with the memory chip inside.

I had this same problem. My TV had sound and the lights were on but no picture. The screen said "No Channels in Master List."Here is how I fixed it:1) I made sure that my Dish Remote was on the TV mode (when pressing down buttons, the TV button would light up).2) Once that was confirmed, I pressed 03 to ensure I was on Channel 3.3) (this was the hardest part!) I found the remote that came with the TV. I never use it so it was hard to find...4) I pressed the Input button and selected the correct Satellite option. On my TV, that option is: "HDMI-1 Satellite"5) The picture was restored!

tv is on the wrong input, just press the input button on the remote or the tv that should fix it for ya
