SOURCE: LE Error code

Hello,

SOUNDS LIKE LOCKED ENGINE. SEVERAL DIFFERENT THINGS CAN CAUSE THIS ERROR CODE TO BE DISPLAYED.

1ST, USING THE WRONG SOAP WILL CAUSE THIS PROBLEM - USE HE SOAP ONLY!!! - IF YOU HAVE BEEN USING THE WRONG SOAP, BEFORE CALLING FOR SERVICE I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO RUN A FEW SHORT CYCLES WITH HOT WATER ONLY - THIS SHOULD HELP IN REMOVING ANY SOAP RESIDUE FROM THE SOAP SENSOR AND BOOT AREA.

2ND, THE CONTROL BOARD MAY BE DEFECTIVE - YOU NEED TO CHECK VOLTAGE OUTPUTS TO VERIFY.

3RD, BE SURE TO CHECK THE WIRING HARNESS - IT HAS BEEN KNOWN THAT WIRES SOMETIMES BECOME FRAYED AND LOOSE RESISTANCE.

4TH, THE SOAP SUDS SENSOR MAY BE FAULTY AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.

SOURCE: HAVE LE CODE ON SAMSUNG WF316LAS/XAA WASHER LE CODE AND BEEPS

LE is a water level issue.

- The part of the hose where the water level sensor is
located is damaged (punctured).
- The hose is clogged with foreign material.
- The hose is folded.
- Too much lubricant has been applied to the insertion
part of the air hose.
- Hose engagement error (disengaged)
- Part fault (Faulty internal soldering)
- The water level sensor terminal is disengaged.
- Main PBA fault.

SOURCE: STARTS AND STOPS WITH ERROR CODE LE

Ok, Same problem where it would start. Then it would seem to pump out the old water for a few minutes. Then stop with the LE error. My serial number was 712 and below as mentioned above. If this happens, take the time to check the manual and remove the door cover. It has about 6 screws and you don't have to remove the unit.
Next, pull the door cover away from the door. You will have to unstick the fiberglass like stuff which will stay with the cover. It is sticking to this black tar stuff used for sound damping. The door cover will come free revealing this massive bunch of wires.
Don't be intimidated with the wirss. Trace the wires and find only the ones "stuck" into that black tar. The tar stuff melts the shielding on the wires and corrodes the wires. I found 2 wires melted and shorted.
I pulled out the wires, stripped and reconnected them and my unit tested fine. I rubber taped them back together and put the door back on for a final fix.
Works fine, and saved me $200.00 at least for a service call.

LG WM0642HW ALWAYS HAVE (LE)

Unplug the unit from main outlet. Then drain the water from the machine.By disconnecting the drain pump ,There will be too much water so be care full.If you disconnect the drain pump from drain hose to drain the water it will flow on you,so keep towels ready to soak the water. Also clean the water filter. ----------------- In most of the case LE error is solved by just disconnecting the washing machine from main power outlet for 30 minutes. But if the problem is still the same then try cleaning the filter and draining the water from drain pump. This error occurs when motor stops functioning and water does not drain. --------------Also another cause of LE error is Regarding the LE ERROR CODE. This code is also caused by having a residue on the sensors in your unit. You have to use a HE liquid detergent. If you use fabric softener use half of the recommended amount and dilute if it is concentrated. Once a month (for a family of four) put 3 cups of white distilled vine-ager directly into the drum and select sanitary cycle or the hottest cycle you can. This prevents residue from forming in your unit and causing the LE ERROR CODE. ---------------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech,.

The washer is stopping midway through the load and an error codeLE what seems to be the problem

This is usually a communication error, unplug the machine for 20 minutes and then see if it returns when power is restored.
but if this does not helps then the actual reason of LE error code is as follows:--

LE LOCKED MOTOR ERROR

• The connector (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS is not connected to the connector (3-pin, female, white) of STATOR ASSEMBLY.

• The electric contact between the connectors (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS and 4-pin, female, white connector in the MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is bad or unstable.

• The MOTOR HARNESS between the STATOR ASSEMBLY and MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is cut (open circuited).

• The hall sensor is out of order/defective.

The hall sensor seems to be part of the motor.
The 'LE' error message indicates the control board has detected that the motor is either not turning, or has locked up for some reason. Monitoring the motor is the job of the hall effect sensor board which constantly determines the direction and speed of the motor and feeds that information back to the control board. If there is a problem between what the motor should be doing and what the hall effect sensor says the motor is doing, the 'LE' will be displayed and the cycle will be stopped.

Motor lock can be caused by several things from a loose connector, to a bad motor, or even the hall effect sensor failing or dislodging from it's mount. Any one or more of these components could have caused this error.

Lg code le could it be because of wobble of rotor assemble

Hi, Not sure what you mean by a loose rotor. here is the meaning of the LE error code:

LE Locked motor error. Cause: The connector (3-pin), male, white) in the motor harness is not connected to the connector. (3-pin,female,white) of stator assembly. Or the electrical contact between the connectors. (3-pin,male,white) in the motor harness and 4-pin,female,white connector in the main PWB assembly is bad or unstable. Or the motor harness between the stator assembly and main PWB assembly is cut (open circuit) Or the hall sensor is out of order/defective.

Had something in pump had service guy fix it he cant get code le out i dont want to pull it out cuting power di not fix can you help

LE error code is a water leakage underneath the sump pump. There is a sensor with 4 wires. Could be corrosion on it or there is actually a leak underneath. You best bet would to go take the underneath appart look at the sensor and look for signs of leakages. Also take the small pump off, put some of that white tape plumbers use(I forget the name right now) and put it back on.

My LG 2277HW gave the LE error and we replaced the entire motor based on a Washing Machine Repair Company's advice. Within the month the machine would not spin the clothes all the way out and eventually...

The LE issue should of been for the followinig, not a motor:
LE LOCKED MOTOR ERROR

• The connector (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS is not connected to the connector (3-pin, female, white) of STATOR ASSEMBLY.

• The electric contact between the connectors (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS and 4-pin, female, white connector in the MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is bad or unstable.

• The MOTOR HARNESS between the STATOR ASSEMBLY and MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is cut (open circuited).

• The ball sensor is out of order/defective.

The OE error means it is not draining. Two diffrent issues.
Are you sure you cleaned out the drain filter on the bottom? Not just drained it. You have to drain it then pull the filter out and clean it.
