May have been a power line.glitch. Try turning off, disconnecting the battery for several minutes (to allow the electronics to bleed down and clear). Then reattach the battery and power it on again.

Installed new batteries Service Indicator Light flashing 5x Manual says problem is with Left Park Brake and says check L P B connections. How?

There is a lever on both sides of the chair they are there to make it easy to push the chair without power. both sides need to be in brake mode in order for the chair to operate. If the levers are locked in brake mode then the motor wiring will need to be checked that it is plugged into the controller. A Tech may need to be contacted to help with this.

How do I disengage motor on a 2003 Jazzy 1113 Mobility chair

The manual freewheel levers on the 1113 are at the front of the chair, on either side of the foot plate. When they are in "Drive" mode, they are in the down position, parallel with the ground. In this position you can't push the chair. To get to "Freewheel" mode, move them to the up position, about 45 degrees from the ground. In freewheel you can push the chair, but not drive it with the motors.

Sometimes it helps to rock the chair back and forth while you move the levers.

Here's the manual:

My son has a invacare chair should go 6 mph but has slowed to a snails crawl. How Can I speed it back up?

The chair may be in what they call SLOW MODE or the batteries are weak. If you have powered seating on the chair the seat has sensors that make the chair drive slow or not drive at all when the seat is tilted or reclined or raised. A sensor can go bad or get out of position. The joystick could have different programming for different drive modes. Try changing drive modes.

How do you wake up a controller that is asleep?

The majority of controllers have a sleep timer. If the chair is on for a specific time period without use, it turns itself off, or, goes into a sleep mode. The chair is in a sleep mode when the operator tries the move forward and the chair does not move and lights on the controller blink rapidly.

To solve this, simply turn off chair, wait 10-30 seconds and turn chair back on. You should be able to operate as normal.

Pronto m41 moves slow at all times

If you have a seat lift on your chair, you will have to lower the seat lift. This is call limp mode so the chair does not move to fast and tip over while the person is in the chair. If this is not the case, then your chair controller may be over heating and it will also cause the chair to go into limp mode. this is a better option than totally stopping. the way to correct this is to let the chair sit and "cool down" for a little while. It usually takes about 30 minutes, sometimes less in cooler environments to get the chair back to normal use. If neither are the solution, then you have a problem with the chair that causes the controller to reduce the output. You will need to get an authorized Tech to check the chair out to determine the root cause.

Speed lights flash alltogether at the same time chair will not run

The chair is in sleep mode or lockout mode. To unlock-- turn on the chair, immediately push the joystick straight forward until you hear a beep then push it straight back until you hear another beep then release to center. This should unlock the joystick. Turn the chair off then back on and you should get normal operation Hope this helps

The controller suddenly flashes idle mode...and something like must must complete whole cycle before using or something to that effect it disappeared from the screen before I could write it down

Julie If the chair is new - less than a year old it is under warranty so contact the provider that sold you the chair to have them fix the problem. If Medicare purchased the chair you can contact a service company to have them repair the chair for you and they will bill Medicare. Contact Repair Xpress @ 1-877-581-3733 or Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 Hope this helps you

The power indication display is flashing with all colors visible.

The flashing will come on if the chair is in neutral or if the charger is still plugged in when you turn it on. Place the chair in neutral (freewheel) by shifting the levers out, then place firmly back into drive.

Unplug from the charger and it should fire up. Sometimes, the chair will also go into "sleep mode".
Check your owners manual for this. Note, some have sleep mode potential but it's not in the manual, and if someone inadvertantly hits the right series of motions with the joystick, you can inadvertantly put it to sleep. Try turning the chair off, wait three seconds and power back up, then immediately press the "horn" button. This wakes up most of them. Others you need to power off, turn back on and then move the joystick forward, backward then forward again.

Good luck
