While beyond frustrating, it is at least good to know this is a somewhat common problem. We haven't been able to watch this TV in about a year for any length of time. It will not power-on for weeks, and then one day, we'll get it to come on and stay on for a couple of days. Neither husband or I have "handyman gene", so can someone please elaborate more about changing-out D boards, replacing IC's (what's an "IC"?)... Repair costs we've been quoted are OUTRAGEOUS. Keep in mind, there is no such thing as explaining it too simply. ; )
