Question about Maytag Washing Machines
How would I know if it was the pressure switch or the pump? (or for that matter the CCU)

"F02" is a Long Drain error (as you well know by now). The error code is generated when the drain time exceeds 8 minutes. If the pump motor or impeller is damaged and it is not pumping at the correct volume, the error code will continue until the pump is replaced.
I applaud your effrots. You isolated the source and did all the necessary steps required to clear this error code, but if you perform all these preliminary measures and still have problems, the rule of thumb is to replace the pump.
The "SUDS" error can occur in conjunction with the "F02" error. If the pump is not functioning properly and air is detected in the drainage system, you will get the SUDS error as well.
"F09" is an overflow condition error code which has many causes, inlcuding the drain pump. Everything seems to point to the drain pump in this one. Replace it and your problems may go away.
A replacement can be purchased at any of the following web sites:
Use whatever part source you like, but I have found these sites to be the most reliable and offer competitive pricing.

Testimonial: "Fantastic, you read my description, confirmed what I've already done, and told me what to replace and where to get it. You went above and beyond ...!"
There is a sensor that relays information back to control board. If you have new pump, pressure switch and latch, the sensor is most likely faulty

SOURCE: I have a kenmore elite HE3 washer. I was getting the sud error and then eventually F02. I cleaned out all the drain lines and pump filter trap and this did not help. I've now replaced the pump
I endevor to purchase a new unit. I've had the same electrical issue with the "F" variable coming up for EACH cycle. I've pressed the Pause/Cancel button and attempted to resume the cycle. While that did work, again, the "F" would come up and the cycle disrupted. I think I will end up paying quite a bit to have it serviced. My washer is 7 years old and I've had it serviced twice to date. I intend on purchasing new in the New Year, a Samsung or LG.
