SOURCE: Looking for shaft lock to change the blade on MK 170 wet saw

Just use a rag and grab the blade. Unless the threads are messed up you don't have to hold the arbor still, just the blade.

How do you get the drive shaft out of the pole on a stihl 101 pole saw?

Bought brand new! I saved up for this product for awhile since they are pretty pricey. I also own acreage in the Midwest so this tool is much needed. I owe 2 older stihl chainsaws and fs70 trimmer. I work sometimes 70-80 hours a week so anytime I have on the weekends to clean up tree damage from storms, etc is precious.

Stihl pole saw model HT75--Was cutting a limb and the chain stopped cutting--What is the problem?

Could be a few things.

1. Clutch slipping at engine end.
2. Drive shafts have become detached from drive or broken.
3. Clutch behind the drive sprocket on the cutting head may need tightening.
4. Chain too sharp/aggressive and is trying to cut too much and the stopping the chain.
5. Chain too tight.

How to attached pole to the saw?

difficult to know what you mean
if you are talking about a pole saw then it is a saw attachment that is used on the end of a straight shaft trimmer
It has a small chain saw fitted to it and by adding extensions to the shaft of the trimmer you can reach up and cut branches at a height of up to 4 meters from the ground
there is no pole for a regular chain saw as this would place too much weight at the length and besides how would the throttle be worked.

I have a RYOBI pole saw that starts fine, but there is a disconnect between engine and saw blade. The blade will not turn.

I assume you have the Ryobi powerhead with the multiple tool shaft (can use it with an edger, blower, trimmer, and pole saw) If so, does the powerhead square drive spin when you squeeze the throttle trigger? Does the chain move freely on the saw end when not connected? Is the attachment fully inserted into the powerhead shaft (small spring-loaded button should pop out of the hole when fully inserted.
