Sud-saver feature I just got my mother's old Kenmore washer. She used it in conjuction with a dry sink and the sud-saver feature to save water. How do I turn the "sud-saver" feature off to use it normally?

Leave the button on the control panel set to DRAIN

Just to play it safe, you can cut one of the wires to the diverter selenoid valve (I think they were yellow, if I rember correctly) to make sure you don't accidentally pump water onto your floor or something.

Dishwasher control light blinking

1 Press down the overfill protection float on the floor of the dishwasher's tub in the right, front corner near the door. If it cannot move up and down freely, the "clean" light will flash.
2 Make sure the dishwasher's water supply is turned on.
3 Look for suds on the inside of the dishwasher and wipe them off with a wet cloth. If the washer's sensor detects suds or foam, it may not run. Use the correct amount of dishwasher soap, not hand soap or detergent for washing dishes in the sink, to ensure suds and foam do not form. Also, make sure the cap on the rinse aid dispenser is secure--this will keep suds and foam from forming as well.
4 Close the dishwasher door. Push the "normal wash" button, then push the "heated dry" button. Push the "normal wash" button again, and push the "heated dry" button again.
5 Watch for all of the lights on your Kenmore dishwasher's panel to turn on and then turn off. The washer may start a new wash cycle at this point; if you do not want it to do so, press the "cancel" button. Otherwise, allow the dishwasher to run through this cycle.

Can you provide the exact Make, Model and Kenmore model number?

Kenmore model numbers use the format ###.######## with the first three digits of 110 for Whirlpool manufactured machines.

Water sighpons back into washing machine

Possible your filter is clogged, clean out. Your exit hose should not go too deep into the standpipe in wall, and it should not be air tight there. The height of approx 3 feet should be maintained. You can check the exit hose by laying it to floor level to see water flow out freely, or put into sink & try 'spin'.

If things work out, rate.

Kenmore HE4T Washer Leak

there are 2 possible causes.
either
inlet valve leaking - turn water off and if water fill stops, it indicates valve leaking
valve being powered when machine off. this is very unlikely but to check, disconnect washer and see if problem stops
also, if drain is plumbed into a spigot on the sink trap, every time you empty the sink, some of the water will flow into the machine. to cure this, take the drain hose as high as possible under the sink in a swan neck

Why does my washing machine have 2 drain outlets?

This is a water saver or previously known as a suds saver model. The bottom one is the drain. The top one would go to a suds tub. If you set the machine on save, the wash water is pumped out of the top hose into the holding sink next to the washer. The rinse water goes out the bottom hose to the drain. The next cycle you could set the washer to the very beginning of the main wash cycle and the washer would pump the water from the tub back into the washer to be used as wash water for the second load of laundry. Yea, used water. But the first load would be lightly soiled stuff, and the next load would be old barn clothes or play clothes. It was designed to save water (about 65 gallons used for 2 loads vs. 90 gallons) and soap. (now, front load machines with larger tubs would use as little as 25 gallons for two loads.) Just hook up the bottom hose to the drain. Leave the save / drain switch set to drain and you'll be fine. To be extra safe (in case the switch was accidentally set to save) disconnect the wires at the solenoid where the drain hose splits into two at the back bottom of the washer. (right where the hoses exit the machine.)
