A person may feel numbness in their legs and feet due to sitting in a position that puts too much pressure on the nerves or reduces blood flow. Long-term numbness or a tingling feeling in the legs and feet may be due to conditions such as multiple sclerosis (MS), diabetes, peripheral artery disease, or fibromyalgia.
* First, I'm Not a doctor. I'm just sharing a possible similar experience.
* Gee, had to look this one up. The loss of sampling the flavors in food. (Fixya won't allow the word T-A-S-T-E in text)
* Humm, I had the same problem when the dentist took out a tooth. One of my back teeth got infected. He stuck me several times with novacane to dull the pain. It didn't help much as the infection cancelled out the ****. Anyway, tooth out and as the numbness went away. I noticed my tongue buds did not return. It was as if my tongue was numb all the time. Dentist says they probably hit a nerve or the infection caused some nerve damage.
* At the time it didn't bother me until I realized I couldn't define different flavors of various foods. This was critical for me as I was in R&D food at the time. I had to rely on others to try my food creations.
* It eventually returned after 6 months, but I had to relearn to identify all the different flavors and smells for each food item. The strongest was the first and easiest. But after ahh.. 20 years, I still can't determine the nuance in wines. Oh,well better than nothing.
* I donno if this helps, but hopefully it may return. Expect it to be a long journey but at least you can Re-Discover new and wonderful foods that await you!

The tongue appears white or pale yellow and coated when the surface is colonised by bacteria or fungi, and dead cells become trapped between the small nodules on the tongue.
A coated tongue is not a disease and is not usually a sign of anything serious. It\'s usually only temporary.
You can try gently brushing it with a tongue scraper and drinking plenty of water to help it improve.
However, sometimes a coated tongue can indicate an infection or more serious condition. You should see your GP for advice if:
you\'re concerned about changes to the appearance of your tongue.
your tongue hurts.
your coated tongue persists for longer than two weeks.
numbness in the arms is typical carpal tunnel syndrome, i had it , had a neurologist do some tests and had both hands done at once, i suggest onyly 1 hand at a time, numbness is due to pressure on a nerve fot the legs numbness on the outside of the thigh is usually pressure on a nerve in the groin area usually due to weight or wearing a belt to tight over time.
i had the same problem and i fixed mine ( it is not broken) ... the tongue is the thing that is silver and has grooves that face upward, the tongue should be up compared to pressed against the shave, take a small screw driver or a kitchen knife and get under the tongue and lift it up, once this is done you need to slide it on the blades and snap it down, i found that i did not need to have the clippers on to put it back on.... at first i got confused in thinking that the tongue was the red thing at the top, and in actuality this is the thing that moves the blades to clip.... i hope this helps, once you get the tongue up the blades are on in 10 seconds...
