This is a heat related code. usually it happens when you have expeienced a power surge or outage. you will have to enter service mode .*28* then go to function then to error then to reset and activate,
This is a fuser error, the fuser replacement for this machine is best done by a technician as there is moderate disassembly involved..
Your local canon warranty agent will be a good place to start.
This same printer engine is used in a few HP printers and multifunctions and the fuser is available from HP as well. Though HP are usually slightly dearer.
If you want to have a go yourself the part number is one of the following, depending on your electrical grid voltage un your part of the world Canon imageCLASS MF4450 Fuser (Fixing) Unit - 120 Volt RM1-7576-000 or Canon imageCLASS MF4450 Fuser (Fixing) Unit - 230 Volt RM1-7577-000
Hi, Try installing the printer's drivers that correspond with your operating system or update the drivers. You can download/update the drivers on this site.
The simplest solution would be to set the printer up to use a static IP Address. It sounds like it's currently setup to get a dynamic address via DHCP - which would explain it getting a new address every time the power goes out.
If you set the printer up with a static address you can then setup each computer to use that IP port. That should maintain a direct connection that you won't lose after a power outage.
If you need additional help just reply to this solution.
This error code means that your heater system that melts the toner onto the paper has failed. So you could try to reset it with a code, but since you did not mention which Canon copier you have, I am unable to tell you how to do this. Though, quite honestly only maybe 10% of these problems are resolved by resetting the code alone. This code almost always comes up because there is something broken or dirty inside the copier. The last 10% is usually a software glitch caused be a power fluctuation or power outages in your area. Repost your question with the model number if you had a power problem in your area and you want to try to reset the copier with a code.
