SOURCE: trouble sending emails from yahoo account using itouch

Strange question - but if you hit "reply" does it work? My daughter had the same problem with her cell phone when texting people. They never got the text, but if she hit "reply" it worked. I figured it out by typing in the actual phone number (in your case the e-mail address). Some how it worked, even though the persons name was already associated with the number. Now everything works fine! Not sure if it helps, but give it a try!

I can send gmail and have internet access, but am not receiving emails I know have been sent

It might be an issue with your SMTP servers. My mom was having the same issues on her iPhone with gmail. Receiving and unable to send. I deleted the gmail account then re-add it. Under the advanced settings in mail confirm the SMTP server is the correct one for gmail. Forget which one it was but you can google it. See if that does the trick for you. Worked for my mom.

How do I Sync Outlook from my Desktop Computer to my Apple IPAD?

To sync e-mails to your iPad, you must put the e-mail account details directly into the mail app. This is because Outlook is merely an application to download and read e-mails.
To add an e-mail account to your iPad:

1. Tap the Mail icon at the bottom of the home screen on iPad.

Step 2. Then tap to add type of email account that you want at add among: Microsoft Exchange, Mobile me, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, AOL or others. For example, if you want to add a Yahoo mail, just tap the Yahoo mail as follows:

Step 3. Then enter login details for selected email account type.

It will configure automatically and you should able to send - receive emails.

Apple mail client v4.3 on Snow Leopard using Gmail IMAP - will send one message fine and for hours afterwards is incapable of sending any further messages. I have to go online and use Gmail to actually...

Fortunately when using GMail and the Mail application, the solution is exceedingly easy: just delete and recreate the account. All of your messages are stored on Google's servers so you won't lose anything.

To delete the account: Mail > Preferences > Accounts, select account in column on left, click minus icon at bottom of column.

Then re-add by clicking the plus icon next to it and entering your information.

Should work like a charm, GMail and IMAP servers are great like that.

Check to see if there were any changes to the POP3 info and update your email accounts on each computer. The fact that the SMTP is working indicates the exchange server is working and the email addresses are vaild

G-mail inconvenient for me but continues to receive even though closed

If you decide that you don't need your Gmail address anymore, and you're sure you won't want your username in the future, you can simply remove Gmail from your Google Account. Here's how:
  1. Click Settings at the top of any Gmail page, and open the Accounts tab.
  2. Click Google Account settings.
  3. Click Edit next to My products on the right side.
  4. Click Delete Gmail Service.
Once you delete your Gmail address, you can't reactivate it, and you won't be able to retrieve any messages. if(document.getElementById('kb_ie8') != null) showLayer('kb_ie8'); if(document.getElementById('kb_ie8_win') != null) showLayer('kb_ie8_win'); if(document.getElementById('z_ie8') != null) toggleZippy('z_ie8'); if(document.getElementById('z_ie8_win') != null) toggleZippy('z_ie8_win'); if(document.getElementById('kb_ie') != null) showLayer('kb_ie'); if(document.getElementById('kb_ie_win') != null) showLayer('kb_ie_win'); if(document.getElementById('z_ie') != null) toggleZippy('z_ie'); if(document.getElementById('z_ie_win') != null) toggleZippy('z_ie_win'); if(document.getElementById('kb_win')) showLayer('kb_win'); if(document.getElementById('z_win')) toggleZippy('z_win'); if(document.getElementById('kb_winxp')) showLayer('kb_winxp'); if(document.getElementById('z_winxp')) toggleZippy('z_winxp'); if(document.getElementById('kb_US')) showLayer('kb_US'); if(document.getElementById('z_US')) toggleZippy('z_US');
