My Hisense tv kept going up to volume 100. Recently installed Firestick using the Firestick direction. Reset my tv to factory settings and let the tv redo the Firestick too. Volume working good now.
Hello Ginnie, it may be that your remote control has the VOL-locked button and produces the fault, to test the batteries to the remote control and check if it continues to do so.
Another option may be that the VOL- control, on the TV, is locked or has some internal dirt and generates a false contact that could cause the failure

It sounds like the button is stuck. Take the remote apart if you can and see if the key is stuck somewhere. This happened to me once with a rubber key type of remote. It drove me crazy.
