My old Acer CE0682 got wet, worked immediately afterwards, but would not a couple of days later. I would like to retrieve the documents that I have on it. Is that possible and how difficult to do?

I am sure it can be repaired. Whenever ANY electronics get wet, IMMEDIATELY remove ANY pwer sources, including internal batteries.

If wetting was not pure water, flush unit with de-ionized water till absolutely clean of any residue. shake out all water and allow to dry a week before applying power.

dry the phone out and keep it off for a day or two. Your phone is interanlly wet and trying to tamper with it while wet will only fry your phone. Once it is dried inside and out put your battery back on and turn it on :o)

it is a problem in you windows, get windows reinstalled make sure you have all the drivers, or get a registry fixing program like tune up utilitys 2009 works fine

Probably is a belt issue. It'll take two people to change. You'll have to take the front off to access the drum and be mindful of the belt route. Good luck.

i think that its a good idea but try to disassemble the computerand see about the obvious damage.
p.s nobody should laugh and in my expertice i have seen it a lot

well i can say I have had this issue before myself alot of the time it was due to interferance, lots of metal and steel in the way I had calls come in VM 4 days later make sure your always close to a window if there is lots of metal or tin around.

other then that I would contact your local dealer and tell them of the issue and see if there is something that can be fixed on the unit or if it is just a flaw of the phone itself and if possible upgrade or downgrade of the phone to one that will work correctly in your enviroment.

I had the same problem with my printer which is identical to yours. I called the tollfree number for HP products and was advised by the techician to try a "cold restart" , which simply means to unplug the power cord and replug it a few seconds later. It was a simple solution which fixed my printer's problem.
