SOURCE: growing indoor avocado tree from seed

Make sure it doesn't stand in water, don't give it too much. Moist is OK, but it needs to all drain out. Also, don't let soil cover the top of the seed area. Mulch on top is OK, but not right over the base.

Testimonial: "Thank you for your answer. I will repot this into a pot that has better drainage and I will clear the covering from around the "trunk " where it goes into the dirt.I am confident that you have solved this problem for me because I had over watering problems in the past. I don't know why I did not match these two incidents together and solve the problem before it became this critical. I will let you know my results - in about two weeks - if I can ever find this site again. I am not too good with computers. When I was a child I drank too much water. I appreciate your answer. - Lester"

Hi.i have always planted a rose by cutting from the rose itself but now i want to improve by using seeds who can i do that cause i find it very difficult to do it

Good Day

If your rose is growing well and producing good flower there should be no need to try to grow from seed. However if you wish to do this before your freshly harvested rose seeds will germinate the seeds need to be treated so that they do not mould too much as this may cause them to rot use a mixture of 10ml of hydrogen peroxide in about 250ml water and soak the seeds for about an hour or alternatively you can dust lightly with antifungal powder for plants. After this they also need to be put into "cold Storage" for a while before planting, put them in damp vermiculite make sure they never dry out and store them in your fridge, away from any vegetables or fruit that may contaminate them (with the chemicals they release naturally) for about 3 to 6 weeks leading up to early springtime. The temperature should be around 70F or 22C outside. Remove them from the fridge and then as soon as they germinate (this could take anywhere between 1 to four MONTHS and most of the seeds may not germinate at all, you may only get 30 out of 100 that germinate. Plant the seeds as soon as they begin to sprout, use very well drained soil be gentle and put the sprout point downward into the soil cover lightly with soil (5mm or so) and about 5cm apart, they should emerge in about 7 to 10 days.

Good Luck

I have miniature rainbow rose seeds in the refridgerator now what's next

You will need to leave them there for a pretend winter and if you want to germinate the seeds I would suggest you do so by placing them is a potting mix and make a mini glass house by using plastic to form a tent to cover the seeds, this can be done in early spring so they get an early start and once they are strong enough they can be placed in the garden .

How to propagate a calamansi seeds?

There should be no particular problem. Just sow them about 1 inch (25mm) deep in small pots of seed compost. Germination will take 14-21 days at 75F (24C). Transfer to larger containers of freely-draining soil as they grow.

I started my aerogarden 1 week ago today and 3 of the pods have not sprouted. i checked the seeds and they have not even started germinating. im getting nervous. This is the gourmet herb kit that comes...

well i recently also bought a aerogarden classic which i presume you to have it states in the aerogarden hand book in the master gardener kit ( which is a seperate seed kit purchase grow your own seed kit in other words! ) it states " even though great care and consideration is taken into producing the grow pods and selecting of seeds long transportation in humid or wet conditions may destry the seed" but this does not sound like you situation it clearly statets standard germination rate for a aergo garden is 4 days to rwo weeks tops you should also take into consideration if the size of seed some seeds have a greater tolerenace of water and need a bit more time for the water to germinate the seed regarding any more answers feel free to ask me on [email protected]

or easy enough read through this simple PDF its not relevant to the gourmet herb kit but the genral processes apply to all seed kits and gives you some good advice on all aspects from pruning to haarvesting and most challenging of all whe you have fruitnig crop how to polinate.
