Hi
F06 is for a door lock fault.
In order to get the door open you will need to drain any water still in the tub by lowering the drain hose into a bowl at floor level. This should then allow the door lock to open.
if the door still does not open, then you will need to access the door lock from inside the machine via removal of the top panel of the machine. Check the cable connections to the lock if ok then next check the motor brushes for wear.

SOURCE: hav a hotpoint WF340G washing machine, the door

Hello there:
what you can do for this is to unplug the machine for 30 to 60 minutes and they plug in the machine again nd shortly ater this it should release the door if not then you have a faulty controle board or a door switch that will have to be replaced ok If you have a warranty on this i would suggest using it so it can be repaired and wont cost you a arm and a leg ok?
I hope this is very helpful for you.
Best regards MIchael

SOURCE: WMA 54 Hotpoint Aquarius washing machine lights flashing

the problem here is the machine is not emptying when its supposed to, you will find it is stopping at the rinse cycles. there is a sump underneath the machine that needs to be emptied. From my experiences, 9 out of 10 hotpoints that i would of repaired with the same problem as you are having is usualy caused by using the color catcher sheets, they are a disaster.

SOURCE: My hotpoint washing machine (model

common problem on these machine's, you need a new door handle which comes as a full assembley with spring and all attached.

open the door, using star screw driver remove top and bottom screws along with two near the catch.

the doo wil split enough to remove old handle and fit new 1.

SOURCE: my door is shut and

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
There is likely to be a problem with the 'door closed' sensor/microswitch requiring a service engineer's attention I suggest ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

SOURCE: Hotpoint W321 flashing lights - washing machine

I have the same machine and it's the 2 solenoids for the cold water inlet at the back. I took the top cover off with 2 screws at the back and the 2 solenoids are connected by 2 screws. I dont know the price as i cleaned mine by flushing fresh water through and the spraying a little wd40 into both parts and it works fine now or just buy new part it's easy to fit but make sure always the mains is disconnected.

How do I reset fault code F6 on a Hotpoint NSWM943CWUKN washing machine

Yes it is a door lock issue. Check all the connections again and follow the wire back to the control board.

https://www.google.com/search?q=fault+code+F6+on+a+Hotpoint+NSWM943CWUKN

What does F6 mean on Hotpoint washing machine?
F06 - Door lock fault. Issue: Washing Machines door cannot be opened or closed / when the door is closed the machine the programme will not start. Advice: If your washing machines door will not close, please check for any obstructions in the door lock.

The error f06 appears on display of ariston hotpoint model wdg8640

The User Manual for this model was of no help ... other than to suggest unplugging the unit which you already did ...
I could not find specific error codes for your model ... but F06 on Hotpoint washers in general have two definitions for F06:

F06 - Door lock fault
Issue: Washing Machines door cannot be opened or closed / when the door is closed the machine the programme will not start.

F06 - Program selector dial

Since you are having door issues ... then I would say the door lock is indeed the problem.
Check to make sure there is not any debris in the door lock insert, but my guess is that is not your problem.
It could be the latch on the door or the lock switch mechanism in the machine housing. Odds are it is the locking mechanism

Here is a Hotpoint You Tube on how to replace ... but it is not for your specific model

Good luck with your troubleshooting!

Machine stopped mid cycle and green light flashing under green start button

Many modern washing machines display error codes if they detect a fault, but not all washing machines display a readable error code, some indicate an error by flashing, or lighting some of the lights.

Hotpoint, Indesit, Zanussi error codes

Hotpoint, Indesit washing machines and Zanussi washing machines are some common appliances that display coded error codes. On their more expensive models, they display readable error codes but basic models (without digital displays) use flashing lights to convey the error fault code.

If your washing machine malfunctions and you can see some of the lights flashing, or one or more option lights have lit up, then make a note of which lights are flashing and which option lights are lit. NOTE: the error code list engineers have only shows the option lights by number and not by name. Therefore you need to report the lights as LED 1 and 3, or 2 and 4 etc. and NOT "delay timer" and "extra rinse". Count the lights from the left (or from the top if in a column) and report as "led 1 and 3" etc.

No Option lights?

With basic washing machines that have no option indicator lights, count the number of flashes. For example, the door locked indicator may flash 7 times, pause, and flash another 7 times in a constant cycle which would indicate error code 7.

This information is vital, and needs mentioning when reporting a fault.

My Hotpoint Aquarius WF430 1300 doesn't complete its cycle, it stops after the wash & doesn't go on to the rinse & final spin. It seems to "freeze" after the wash is finished as the lights remain...
