My 2003 XLT 800 runs great for the first 10 minutes. After that when I accelerate it immediately drops back to idle. Seems to run fine at idle but will only accelerate for second or two. Thanks.

Have you checked your impeller, even on the sandiest beach all it takes is 1 pebble to damage it. Its a common problem (all noise and no action) if it was a car you could liken it to clutch slip or wheel spin, when you take the impeller out the damage will be fairly obvious, ding marks on the leading edge and bent areas on the trailing edge. Solution :- Birmingham Screwdriver (Hammer) and cobblers last or tow hitch ball. Gently hammer out the bent bits and smooth the sharp edges off the ding bits (Both of these cause cavitation). This should get you back on the water within the hour. If this sounds a bit too much to have a go at then seek professional help. There are plenty of companies out there who can do the job, it's just a question of cost and time. Give it a go, you never know it might work.

Have you checked your intake underneath to see IF there is a clog in the unit? I have experienced that as well but in forward motion to where well bog my jetski down and give me maximum speed of 3 mph but high rpms. You may also wish to take off your grate and check further up in the unit.

2006 GMC Yukon, 3/4 ton with tow package will not idle above 1200 rpms/10-15 mph

check ICS for correct operation
engine idle speed is 850 -950 rpms for auto and 750-850 for manual
at 1200 rpms you are not on the idle circuits but on power circuits
run the fault codes

I have a 1999 nissan frontier with a 3.3 automatic 4x4. At idle the rpms are at about 1200 to 1400. At 60 mph the rpms are at 3200. Is this normal or is there something i can do to fix this?

There is no connection between the idle revs and revs at speed .The revs for 60 mph sound about right but the idle revs are controlled by the idle speed sensor and various other sensors Have the fault codes read Replace the faulty units with
genuine one because most aftermarket units are not set for OEM cpu units and are not completely compatible.

YAMAHA WAVERUNNER 2000 XL 800, WILL NOT RUN PAST 12 MPH

Have you done a compression test on all cylinders? My guess is you have a dead cylinder (no oil to one or more cylinders causing loss of power). If the compression test passes (all cylinders equal and higher than 100-110 psi) you have a restricted exhaust from a failed catalytic converter that has broken apart.

you need to have your compression checked. this happened to me and one cylinder was toast. they should be around 120 psi and not more than 5% difference between the two. if not clean the carbs
