Husqvana Rose 605 worked for a minute and then the screen blanked soon as I pressed the foot pedal.Tried the on/off but didn't work.It was posted. Fried the motherboard or what else can I try ?

The machine was lying on it's side whilst being posted.I have the 1250 and was delighted when the screen came on,lowered the foot and pressed on the foot pedal and it blanked.Nothing works.Powers up.What can I do/try before they talk me into an expensive motherboard replacement-thanks Jan

SOURCE: Presser foot wont raise and lower

Does the presser foot move at all when the machine is first turned on?
Do the needle and feed teeth calibrate when the machine is first turned on?
You probably need to locate your nearest authorized repair center.

SOURCE: Foot pedal does not work.

If you are getting power and not sewing, it sounds like a bad foot control. (you don't need the entire power cord assembly). These are fairly easy to replace and can be found in most local sewing shops or places like ebay. To replace it your self, simply remove the old one and get a carbon style controller, slide the wires through the hole in the side and connect one wire to each screw, it does not matter which wire goes to which screw. Put the bottom cover back on and you should be good to go.

SOURCE: I have a Brother Embroidery

There may be dust/lint interfering with the electronics that communicate with each other to let the machine know that the feet are down. Most companies DO NOT recommend using the spray air. What you can do is use the brush that came with the machine and clean the interior parts that you can easily reach. Get the bristles of the brush into the area where the presser foot lifter is located. While raising and lowering the lifter, gently sweep the bristles out toward you. This should dislodge lint particles. You'll also want to gently brush out the bobbin case and the area around the feed dogs. Generally, when I have a situation where I think it might be caused by dust and lint, I clean in every area I can reach! You can also use a cotton swab to assist in the cleaning. Once you've gotten out all the dust you can see or reach, you can use a crevice tool attachment on your vacuum to make sure you have it all removed. I also purchased one of those sets of small vacuum tools for use, not only on my sewing machines, but computer as well. It will provide suction to interior areas that you might not be able to reach without disassembling the machine. I really hope this solves your problem. As a serious sewer I know how frustrated you are. If my solutions get you sewing again, please let Fixya know by rating my solution!

yes, it is possible that the foot pedal can go out,, it would be a good
idea to have the foot pedal checked at a repair shop to see for
sure

Testimonial: "I went to sewing machine store today and the pedal checked out as dying, so ordered a new one. Thx again!"

Motor runs unaided, have to turn off power to stop it

Is the foot pedal not returning to the off position? Try disconnecting the foot pedal. If the machine stops running, then your problem is in the foot pedal. If it keeps running, then your control board is bad.

When pressing the foot control the machine won't run, it shows the presser foot blinking on the screen even when the presser foot lever is down.

check the connections, if they are good, your foot pedal has a short in it, so its not completing the circuit when depressed

On my husqvarna rose when i press on the foot pedal it just beeps and indicates the foot isn,t down. it is. No matter if its up or down it will not start sewing. please help.

The Rose has a spring that activates a sensor that detects when the foot is up or down and yours has apparently broken. You will probably need to find an authorized service center to replace it. Not too many shops will know what to do or which part it is.
