I would guess, it is trying to clear the ice tray and not succeeding. Therefore, it doesn't know if it is empty (maybe it isn't) and doesn't make more ice.
It is either stuck with or without ice in the tray or a drive gear is broken and preventing it from turning.

This sounds like a clogged water line or a electrical short !
I would get service rather than take a chance on electrical fire.
Or burn up the circuit in the ice maker.

sounds like the evaputaor fan motor.. may need to replace.. check to see if anything maybe hitting fan blades

Assuming the 'clicks' are heard when you're on the net...it could be a page in the background updating its 'ad' or auto 'clicking' to another page (within the main page on a different frame). This happen alot on hotmail pages ads using 'Flash'.
You can turn the volume off while surfing until you need to listen to something & turn your volume back on. (I do)
