When u record music, its important that the background music be at -7db and the vocals should bounce the level meters to just over 0 db,also if u use a mixing console to add more instruments to the mix, the mixed output of the added content MUST BE NO MORE THAN -7db in order to maintain balanced music output to all channels.

The Tascam DP-02 can only record two tracks at a time.

You will have to mix "on-the-fly" and record the master out, or record each instrument seperately, and just record the drums as a stereo mix.

For wav files to be imported to the DP2 have to be 'mono' wav files. The DP-02 won't even show stereo waves in the fat area. So make sure you are converting any stereo wav files into mono first. That's usually the problem. They should also be 44.1 khz sampling frequency and 16 bit (I believe the DP-02 will accept a 24-bit wav, but the file will be truncated rather than dithered down to 16 bit while importing which may not be ideal for quality).

the machine vu lights were dim the reel motors ran then the lights got dimmer and the reel motors stopped its quite old now but never let me down . best regards kirk
