This year's tax season opened on January 28th (2019). I think the official due date this year is April 15th 2019. It might be different if you live in Maine or Massachusetts. I think in those states it's April 17th.
However, if you were planning to wait until the last minute, I'd strongly advise you against it. The later you leave it, the less time you'll have to sort out any problems that arise. That last minute scramble is also not good for stress levels, in my personal opinion. I also think that the later you submit it, the higher the chance that your refund will be delayed.
