SOURCE: 1993 buick skylark serpentine belt removal

there is going to be a tensioner pulley near the front of the motor on top that you have to apply pressure to or you can loosen the alternator and take it off that way, just remember how it came off so you can put it back on

SOURCE: how do you loosen the serpentine belt

remove air filter box completely. loosen o/s/f wheel. jack up the car, and secure. remove wheel. remove plastic shield to expose the cranckshaft pulley.check routing of the belt for replacement. on top of the tensioner there is a square, about 1/2 inch, place a bar in the square and gently push the bar towards the front of the car to release the tension, and remove the belt. change any defective pulleys. refit the belt leaving the top pulley till last.take up the tension of the tensioner, and then fit the remaining belt. make sure the belt is sitting right in it's grooves, and crank the engine first to make sure it is fitted ok. refit air box, plastic shield and wheel.

Check to see if the idler arm at rear of machine where belt comes off PTO is bent or bushings wore out.Ask your dealer if there is any guides you can install around spindle pulleys.

Cub cadet m60-kh the PTO belt keeps jumping off

https://www.partstree.com/parts/cub-cadet/mowers-zero-turn-lawn-mower/m60-kh-53ab5bdx750-cub-cadet-commercial-tank-zero-turn-mower-27-hp-kohler/fabricated-deck-spindle-assembly/

Likely the deck idler pulley is loose or bearings are shot. The pulley should not wobble and the flat side of the belt should ride square against the pulley face (the pulley should be reasonably perpendicular to the deck). If not, the idler arm pivot is loose or the pivot bolt and arm are shot. Check proper tension is applied by idler pulley torsion spring (the belt is not loose).

Greenfield Ride on Mower need to increase tension on drive belts

As a rule there is 2 ways.
1 is a spring loaded idler pulley and the other is to loosen the motor and pull it back.
Depends on the age.

Can you show me the correct diagram for the drive belt on a 44in Dixon zero turn mower

Hope this helps. Serpentine Blade Drive Belt
1 Lower the mower deck to its lowest position.
2 Route the serpentine blade drive belt (part number 6109) onto the V-pulleys located on the mower deck. One double pulley is located at the front of the deck near the center. The other two pulleys are located near each side of the deck. Route the belt around the outside -- the side toward the outer edge of the mower deck -- of each pulley. For the double pulley near the front of the deck, route the belt around the lower pulley (part number 6058) only. If pulleys are fitted with belt guards, work the belt in between the pulley and shield.
3 Push the idler pulley toward the center of the deck with your hand. The idler pulley (part number 6059) is the fourth pulley on the deck and is located near the rear of the deck. It is the only movable pulley on the deck. Wrap the belt around the side of the pulley nearest the edge of the deck. Release the idler pulley to place tension on the belt. No adjustment is necessary because the serpentine idler spring (part number 6065), located on the idler pulley, adjusts the belt to the correct tension.

Cant keep a belt on it have burnt 2 up with only 37.1 hrs on the tractor

Hello Donald, I would check any idler pulley bearing , tensioner pulley bearing, or mower deck bearings that runs on that belt. You might have a bad bearing causing the belt to burn off. Also check pulley alignment .

How do you know when your pulleys are worn out

Really what the original intended purpose was. Most times you will see the wear pattern.

On mower most v-belt idlers have the back of the belt no deeper than the outside diameter. Engine pulleys vary. If the pulley shows of the belt bottoming out in groove it either worn out, wrong pulley or wrong belt. Flat idler wear similarly just not as noticeable. Most times it is retaining lips or bearings that goes. cIt is the same v-idler when it comes to bearings.

I replaced my PTO drive belt (engine to blades, part #754-0497) without any trouble.

Check all idler pulley bearings, double pulley bearings and the spindles bearings. If any feel rough hand turning replace them. Also make the spindle belt is correctly routed. Edited adding the word "belt"

The 60.5" belt is the correct for the G deck that uses the 66.5" spindle deck belt.

My Greenfield 12-30 mower constantly drops the Drive Belt. How do I correct this?

First make sure that you have the correct size belt.
Then make sure the belt you are using is not stretched or worn out. Check all pulleys and make sure they are not worn and that they are in alignment. Finally make sure that all the idler springs are in place. It is wither an alignment issue or a belt tension issue

What is the belt diagram from the deck to the motor for a mower?

1st, Unplug the Dryer from the Power Supply.
You will need the Exact recommended Replacement "Idler Pulley".
With the Belt Ribs Facing Toward the Dryer Drum, position the belt on the tell tale Ring Mark on the Drum letting the Belt Hang Down below the Drum.
Place The New Idler Pulley into the Slots on the Inside Dryer Bottom located near the Motor Mounted Pulley.
(Face The Idler Pulley Toward The Motor Mounted Pulley)
(Hold the Idler Pulley in place in the slots)
Take the "Hanging Belt" & run the Whole Loop "UNDER" the Idler Pulley & then
Attach the "Belt Loop" "AROUND" The Motor Mounted Pulley.
That should do it.
Put the rest of the Dryer Back Together...Done!
Good Luck,
Vinnie

What will stop the electric clutch from fully engaging?

Electric clutches usually work or they don't. You may simply need a new belt or there may be an idler pulley or blade spindle with a bad bearing causing excessive drag. I have seen idler pulleys go missing altogether causing extra slack in the belt. good luck, Chuck
