As you didn't list a specific type and I am unfamiliar with the brand, here is what I suggest. Check your thermostat. It may have some corrosion that needs cleaned off or may need to be replaced. If it has a control box, check that also, as it can cause issues with various parts of the system.

SOURCE: '04 volusia still shutting down

I would recomend checking to be sure the fuel and vacum lines n the tank are installed correctly, Open the fuel filler and start the bike and see if it has any change on the problem, if so you have a vacum issue.

SOURCE: pilot light wont stay lit.want to clean the orifice

You shut off the gas.
Shut off the power.
Remove the gas valve and burner assembly.
After cleaning and reassembly you must purge the system and use a gas leak detecting soap to verify no leaks before turning on the power.

SOURCE: My hayward h400ed2 heater starts for 2-3 seconds

Have you installed anything in your home that uses gas? Alot of times it due to low gas pressure.

When you checked the orfices did you actually remove them? or just stick a paperclip inside and clean them?

If the heater is firing ..even for 2-3 seconds the ignightor is fine. If it wasnt it wouldnt lite, period... bad call on hayward

I have a hayward SR333Lp that ignites for 5 seconds and then displays service heater. No leds on back of board to indicate cause

Today's gas appliances are designed to shut off when combustion problem is detected.
For example if burner parts are dirty of clogged, the gas valve continues releasing gas, but not all the gas is burned.
This caused potential explosion risk, with unburned gas in the combustion chamber and flueway.
Call service tech to clean combustion parts, check pilot or igniter alignment, check gas control valve, and gas pressure, and bleed air out of gas line if needed.
Search internet for product manual. Product number appears on label, and then add .pdf to search parameter.

Amana Air Command 80 SSE gas furnace will not stay running

In the path of the flame on the last burner that starts, there will be a small rod. That rod is the flame sensor. Take a scrub pad and polish it. Also check the electrical connection that goes back to the circuit board. Disconnect any ground wire from the circuit board to furnace cabinet, sand it and replace it.

H400FDN... Lights... burns for 5 secs... turns off... repeats...

Pull your heat tray and clean burners and check for rat nests. A common cause of this is spider webs in the gas orfaces on the supply pipe. If you remove the brass orfaces they may have small, small, small tiny webs inside them oyu can blow out or clear with a toothpic. they dirvet the gas from the main burner (the one with the ignitor) as the gas builds it will poof and start but then the other burners that have gas flow won't be close enough to let the ignitor read flame so it will cycle just like you describe. My kingdom for a toothpic. I have made a tool to do this out of a stripped wire bent just so with the end roughed up to catch the webs so I didn't have to pull the tray on heaters with this proble. You should pull the tray and see the whole problem to understand it better.. I hope this helps and good luck.

H250 heater spark, but no pilot

Spider nest in the pilot assembly. You should be able to pull the pilot out, remove the pilot tube and orifice inside, and see and clean out the silk.If not, a new assembly is about $100 from a pool store. We sell them at www.arrowmotor.net

Hayward H400 Pool heater will not stay lit

"IF" - Hayward Pool Heater Fails to Ignite: the most common reason for this problem is insufficient gas supply. The Hayward heater LED display will show a diagnostic fault code of "IF" which stands for Ignition Failure. Undetected gas pressure problems if not investigated properly may result in unnecessary replacement and servicing of your Hayward Pool Heater.

Hayward H Series 400,000 BTU Pool Heater Won't Ignite

You can not manually light it. Open the front cover look for the gas nozzles brass looking on a tube. on the right side you will see a wire going to a sensor above the next to last burner take the nozzle out for that burner. 7/16 wrench unsrcew the nozzle and see if it is clogged. use something soft to push it out. Spiders love to lay eggs in these. Spray with WD40 and reassemble should work now

Best of luck

Heater won't stay lit

On your main gas manifold you have orfaces that screw into it at each burner. Remove these and see if their are small spider webs in them. They will look like little lint balls. They can keep your main burner from getting gas and in turn keep the heater from sensing flame. The pilot lights and the heater starts but no flame at the main will shut it rite down. See if this helps.
