When you try to print from a program like microsoft word, clicking print command it should bring up a print window and there it shows what printer the program will print to before you click print. If there is no printer installed it often shows printing to a file, (instead of printing on paper).

I see you seem to be using Evolis Primacy ID Card Printer. If the driver program is not installed, try going to the link below, I found that by searching key words in Google Search.
It seems you are using a print server to connect the printer 1280 to your LAN. Uninstall the printer software and printer server driver. Connect the print server to the network and first re-install the print server driver. Then connect the printer to the print server and install the printer software. Refer user manual for assistance. When you try to install a printer and get an error message "Print Spooler is not running" then Print Spooler need to be configured. The Print Head in your printer is physically damaged and so even though it is present and installed it will not be detected by the Printer, you need to purchase and install a new print head for your printer.

The print head is not installed [1401], or it is not properly installed (EEPROM data of the print head is faulty) [1403 / 1405].
Install the print head properly, and close the access cover.
Or, with the print head installed, turn the printer off and on.
